Chapter 4 - The First Mission

That morning, at the Fortex Intelligence headquarters, Furqon and Zafran were awaiting instructions from Dr. Jarir, a member of the Liaison Council—a special council responsible for maintaining communication and coordination among Fortex's various divisions. Unlike the Main Council, which directed strategic policy, the Liaison Council served as a mediator and facilitator for cross-divisional collaboration. Dr. Jarir, one of the key figures in the council, was known for his ability to forge strong relationships between Fortex's diverse scientific and technological disciplines.

As Dr. Jarir entered the room, the atmosphere grew serious. He looked at Furqon and Zafran with firm confidence, implying that he had an important mission for them.

"Furqon, Zafran," Dr. Jarir began, "today I have a special mission for you. This will be your first cross-divisional assignment, and the Liaison Council wants to see how well you can collaborate with other teams."

Furqon and Zafran exchanged glances, feeling a mix of tension and excitement. After months of focusing on theories and preparations in the Time Travel Division, they were finally given the opportunity to take on a real mission.

Dr. Jarir continued, "Fortex Intelligence is expanding its network and connections—not only on Earth but also with worlds far beyond our galaxy, through the Multi-Galaxy Division. Your mission is to collaborate with them to explore the potential use of time travel technology to support intergalactic exploration and communication."

Furqon nodded, absorbing the information carefully. As a methodical and meticulous person, he wanted to ensure the mission was properly planned. Zafran, on the other hand, looked thrilled by the new challenge, seeing it as a great opportunity to test his strategic skills in a cross-divisional environment.

Dr. Jarir handed them several digital files. "The Multi-Galaxy Division is one of Fortex's main divisions, responsible for exploring outer space and expanding our knowledge beyond the galaxy. Their technology allows us to detect life, study extreme conditions, and even establish contact with entities that may exist far out there. Your task is to ensure that our time travel technology can be adapted to meet their needs."

Zafran grinned. "So we'll coordinate to integrate time travel tech with their equipment, enabling intergalactic signal transmissions?"

"Exactly," Dr. Jarir nodded. "More than that, you must also ensure that this technology works at precise time points, so the signals and communications not only reach the right place, but also at the right time. This is a test to prepare for cross-divisional coordination, especially in matters as complex as time and space."

Furqon paused to think. For him, time travel was already an incredibly complex technology. Adding intergalactic spatial dimensions made this challenge far greater than anything he had previously faced.

"We'll make sure every step aligns with the Multi-Galaxy Division's requirements," Furqon said with conviction, reassuring both himself and Zafran.

Dr. Jarir smiled with satisfaction. "That's what I wanted to hear. Remember, you're pioneers in this mission. Your success will pave the way for future inter-divisional collaborations. Don't hesitate to reach out to the Liaison Council if you encounter any obstacles."

The meeting ended on a high note. As they left the conference room, Furqon and Zafran began discussing their strategy. They knew the mission wouldn't be easy, but they also knew that, as members of the Time Travel Division, they had been equipped with the training and knowledge necessary for the task.

"This is going to be an exciting journey," Zafran said, his eyes sparkling.

Furqon nodded in agreement. "And we'll take Fortex Intelligence to a new dimension in space and time exploration."
