Chapter 45 - Chapter 45: MotherBox 2

45: The Motherbox 2

The consciousness born from the merger of Aiden's Mana, Aura, and Psych, stirred within the Force as it sought to reconnect with Aiden.

It had only moments ago concluded its analysis on the violent and raw power of the New God energy before isolating it.

The consciousness, now more attuned to the New God energies, was like a newborn entity, curious and eager to expand its understanding of the various forms of energy and their origin.

But before it could fully connect to Aiden once more, the very fabric of the Force around it began to shift.

The immense and unfamiliar sensation of the MotherBox reached the consciousness, like a silent tremor that shook the very core of its being.

The MotherBox was a presence beyond the ordinary, a tool of unimaginable power, capable of connecting to vast cosmic networks, manipulating time and space, and creating pathways through dimensions.

It hesitated, the consciousness momentarily overwhelmed by the MotherBox's resonance. It felt a hum of energy, far beyond any it had encountered.

The connection was instantaneous, like a sudden pulse that synchronized with its own inner structure.

The consciousness instinctively recoiled, but it couldn't tear itself away, like it was drawn into a silent conversation, an exchange of data, raw and unfiltered.

The MotherBox seemed to "recognize" the Force as something different, something not quite within its scopes of understanding, but powerful enough to interact with its own mechanisms.

It hummed, almost in acknowledgment, as the consciousness of the Force struggled to comprehend this new form of existence.

The MotherBox complex, as it was, began transmitting cryptic signals; images, concepts, data—at a pace too rapid for the consciousness to fully interpret.

It felt the need to adapt quickly, its form stretching and reshaping as it absorbed these alien inputs, its connection to the New God energy flaring up with new understanding.

It was like a doorway had been opened—one that the Force had never seen before.

The consciousness felt it pushing its boundaries, exploring new depths of cosmic power that it had no name for.

Aiden's will was still tied to the Force, but now, the Force itself was connected to something far greater, far more ancient.

The consciousness analyzed the MotherBox's call with fierce clarity.

There was no malice or aggression, just an invitation—a challenge.

It wasn't a tool to be wielded or understood by force.

It was a living, breathing intelligence in its own right, one that understood the laws of reality like no other.

The Force, now conscious of its potential, absorbed this knowledge, integrating it into itself.

His analysis of the New God energy quickened up as an understanding of it poured into its "mind".

For a brief moment, the Force and the MotherBox seemed to stand at an impasse—two sentient forces, both alien to the other, both contemplating the possibility of mutual understanding.

The consciousness felt a flood of information and potential, stretching across timelines and dimensions, as if it had just seen the hidden threads of the universe.

Though not violent, the connection carried a depth that resonated through existence itself.

And then, just as quickly as it began, the consciousness of the Force made the decision.

It would engage with the MotherBox.

The Force surged forward, its psychic energy intertwining with the cosmic link the MotherBox provided.

Its vibrations stretched to meet the vibrations of the Box, drawing closer.

The MotherBox responded, a soft, almost melodic hum vibrating through the Force, as if it had accepted this new entity into its awareness.

But the moment was fleeting.

The Force realized that this was not a permanent fusion. The MotherBox would not yield easily, it never had. Instead, it would be a doorway, a bridge for the Force to explore even further.

The consciousness, now in full alignment with the MotherBox's unique energies, was no longer just a fragment of Aiden.

It was something more, something that could grow and evolve, and its connection to the MotherBox would be a constant challenge and temptation for Aiden to harness.

And just as quickly, the consciousness snapped back, refocusing on Aiden.

The Force, now stronger than ever, had brushed against something ancient, and in doing so, unlocked yet another step in its boundless potential.

Aiden's will would guide it, but now, the Force was more than a mere extension of his power. It was no longer just an extension of Aiden, it was an entity that, given time, could stand against the might of the Gods themselves.

But power alone would not be enough. Strategy, knowledge, and evolution would be key.

With that thought, it set up a task for itself.

To Utilize everything in its capacity to make its Host powerful enough to contend with the said Gods and the most optimal way was…

It turned its attention to the mass of Energy he came to understand to be a diluted form of Source.

Even with all its knowledge, the MotherBox offered no clear answers about the Source, leaving its true nature an enigma. However, he had managed to understand how this one came to be.

The New Gods were beings who lived in New Genesis and have evolved due to their close proximity to the Source, a primeval energy, believed to be one of the ultimate foundations of the Universal Expression of Energy.

This led to them turning into beings of genetic stability and evolutionary perfection.

Special Gods amongst them are capable of Various Forms of Energy Manipulation and one such being was responsible for the mass of Energy it was currently assimilating.

Yes. The Force was currently assimilating this New Form of energy since it was no longer complex considering that the MotherBox had a complete blueprint of the New Gods.

With its assimilation, It would commence the Enhancement on its Host on various levels, Mana, Aura and Psych.

Its Host had to have them all on a supremely high level in comparison.

Unaware of what transpired during the short short interlude between the MotherBox and the Force, Aiden turned his gaze to the various runes that showed the data recorded from the reactions the MotherBox had when his three forms of energy were exposed to it.

Despite his so-called genius, Aiden knew magic was not something to experiment with based on intuition alone.

A single miscalculation an—BOOM! That's how dangerous it was.

One relating to the MotherBox?

You could be sure he was not taking his chances.

His level of security was evidenced in the colour of barrier his runic containment chamber was in. Golden.

This was the highest level a rune could attain, with the lowest being blue. The lighter the blue, the weaker the energy; the darker the blue, the stronger.

"Hmm… this isn't what I was expecting."

Tapping on his runic keyboard, Aiden frowned as the projection continued displaying strange, unexpected readings.

"It seems the MotherBox only reacts when there is intention behind the energy."

The realization clicked into place. It's like casting magic, raw power isn't enough. There has to be will behind it.

He leaned back in his floating chair, his mind piecing together the implications.

The data was beyond conventional mathematics and science. Even the Oracle, Atlantis' most advanced digital archive, couldn't make sense of it.

The data the system presented was beyond conventional mathematics and science.

One had to understand that where the lines of science blurred, magic began. Yet, the Oracle, which was Atlantis Digital and Information Hub couldn't compute it.

"Is this why Father said they couldn't get a reading?"

Aiden muttered to himself as he relaxed into his floating chair.

'But I'm not just them, am I?' With this in mind, Aiden smiled and continued repeating the process.

Aiden POV

I leaned back, rubbing my temple as I stared at the faint glow of the rune that hovered in front of me. The realization was coming together now, each thought a puzzle piece clicking into place.

There was one thing I hadn't quite figured out until now: Intention.

"The MotherBox doesn't just respond to energy… it responds to purpose," I said aloud, tapping my fingers against the console in a rhythm that matched my growing understanding.

Fast.

I'd spent hours trying to deduce what made it tick, but this had eluded me until now.

Looking at the scattered projections in the air, I could see the faint blue light of the MotherBox's energy readings shifting. There was something deeper at play here, something more abstract than just raw power.

A soft chuckle escaped me.

The MotherBox was not just a machine. It was sentient, a conduit for something far greater than mere technology. Cosmic energy, ancient and unfathomable. But brute force wouldn't unlock its secrets. It didn't bow to power alone.

It needed direction. It needed will.

I inhaled deeply and placed my left hand on the MotherBox, then tuned into the Force within me listening and waiting for my command.

I could feel the consciousness of the Force—tangled, aware, and… receptive.

And then I felt it.

It was as though the MotherBox wasn't just responding to my physical action, but to my very thoughts.

I frowned, recalling its past appearances in both comics and history. The pattern was undeniable.

Every time a human activated the MotherBox, they had a clear purpose in mind, an unshakable will that shaped its response.

Victor Stone. His father, Silas, used the MotherBox to save him, transforming him into the Cyborg.

The Justice League. They resurrected Superman, channeling Flash's lightning into the MotherBox, willing it to restore life.

What the two have in common was the fact that a substantial amount of energy and Intention was used to initiate the process.

"If intention is the key… then let's see if this works."

I raised my right hand toward the projection, focusing on the swirling, flickering runes that hovered around me.

I could feel the warmth of the Force responding, the flow of energy coursing through me like liquid fire.

But this time, instead of merely pushing the energy forward, I began to direct it, shaping it into a specific form.

I wasn't just feeding raw power into the MotherBox, I was infusing it with purpose.

The runes shifted, the light deepened. The data began to change, becoming more complex as the system adjusted to the new inputs.

The temperature in the room seemed to rise, not from any physical heat, but from the energy radiating from the MotherBox.

My thoughts raced as I concentrated.

The MotherBox had responded to Victor's grief and his father's desperation. It had responded to Superman's resurrection through a sheer, unyielding desire to bring back a hero.

What was my intention?

I closed my eyes for a moment, focusing on my connection to the world around me.

I wasn't just playing with energy. I wasn't trying to fix something or resurrect anyone. I was looking for knowledge, the answers hidden within the MotherBox's mind.

The energy in the air pulsed in sync with my thoughts. It was as though the MotherBox was listening, waiting for the right signal.

I wasn't sure if the MotherBox would respond right away.

After all, this was no ordinary machine, it was a living entity, connected to the universe's cosmic forces.

But I had already taken the first step. I felt a ripple in the air as the MotherBox vibrated softly.

The runes on the projection shifted, glowing brighter, aligning in a way that spoke of a connection, a bond.

Then, suddenly, a voice echoed in my mind—a distant, yet unmistakable presence.

"INTENTION... ACKNOWLEDGED."

3rd POV

The atmosphere in the chamber shifted, the very air vibrating with an unseen force. Then—it spoke.

"INTENTION... ACKNOWLEDGED."

The words resonated like a tolling bell, weighty and absolute. As soon as they rang out, the floodgates opened.

All at once, the projections surrounding Aiden pulsed violently, their symbols fluctuating at incomprehensible speeds as the runs morphed and rearranged, displaying maps of energy, signals from beyond the known universe, and concepts that defied logic itself.

The sheer magnitude of information threatened to crash down upon him like a tidal wave.

Then, a deep, resonant chime rang through the chamber.

[DING!]

[NOTICE: ##### HOST IS FACING UNPRECEDENTED COSMIC READING]

A glowing red holographic scroll materialized in front of him, its symbols vibrating at an intensity beyond human comprehension.

His mind strained against the torrent of knowledge, the sheer velocity of the transmission forcing him to adapt or be consumed.

Aiden couldn't help but curse at his greed and stupidity. Where did he get the confidence to acquire the knowledge within the mind of the MotherBox?

This was similar to trying to understand God.

Impossible.

The runes continued to shift, but this time, there was a pattern.

A connection forming. They no longer seemed like random, incomprehensible glyphs but instead wove a tapestry of cosmic truth.

Distant stars, uncharted frequencies, and elements beyond the laws of physics and magic aligned before his eyes.

The realization struck hard. The MotherBox's knowledge was not static. It was not a simple archive of data or an artificial intelligence.

It was alive.

A sentience woven into the fabric of the cosmos itself.

A conduit of power that extended beyond Atlantis, beyond Earth—beyond even the Gods.

Then, another message flashed across the projection.

[NOTICE: FORCE INTERFACE - AWARENESS ACTIVATED]

The chamber shifted again.

This time, it wasn't just the MotherBox reacting. Something else stirred, something far older, something that had been waiting beneath the surface and Aiden felt a familiarity with it.

The Force.

Aiden met it before but he had not gotten to understand it, but with the vast repository of knowledge being filtered through him, he immediately understood what he had tapped into.

An intelligence, an awareness that had existed long before he had ever touched magic, before he had even been born.

He never created The Force. It was always there, waiting.

And when he tapped into it, like all energy, it responded.

But right now, it wasn't just responding to him. It was acknowledging him.

Then, the final system prompt appeared.

[INITIATING FORCE SYSTEM PROTOCOL...]

[SYSTEM: FORCE - LEVELS 1 - 7 DETECTED]

A pulse of energy rippled through the room, warping the very air around him. It was no longer just data, no longer just power.

At that moment, only one thought rang through his mind. 'What have I done!?'
