The Estate had not seen such a lively atmosphere in many years. In the days leading up to Chinese New Year's Eve, the servants had already decked out the Estate in festive decorations.
Red lanterns hung high, the walls were plastered with vivid New Year paintings, and even a red silk dragon stood at the front gate, allowing everyone to feel the festive atmosphere as soon as they entered the Estate.
Not only was the environment within the Estate joyfully festive, but so too was the atmosphere extremely warm.
After all, this was the most complete gathering in over two decades at the Estate, this year truly marked the coming together of a complete family.
The relationship between Fu Siyu and Shu Wan had grown increasingly close; to use the servants' description, Fu Siyu was so doting that he wished Shu Wan could walk on the palms of his hands. It was a spectacle of affection.
