When Ryuk turned his head up, he saw her, not looking at him but directly at the ocean instead.
"So… so I can't fly? We can't fly?" he added as he rose to his feet, eyes knitted.
He turned to the ocean, then began walking forward toward it.
Arriving just a couple of meters away, he bent down to one knee, dipping his hands into it.
"Looks pretty good," he muttered, but then, footsteps echoed out behind him, coming from none other than Orrelith.
He watched as she slowly reached her hand forward, spreading it toward the sea, and all of a sudden—
BAAAAANNNNNG!
An invisible force slammed directly into the waters, instantly blowing everything apart, revealing the seabed for up to a 100-meter distance.
But just 5 seconds later, Ryuk watched as the water particles still hanging in the air all immediately faded away—and like a glitch, the open path on the water's surface instantly closed back up.
But it didn't close because the water was falling back into place.
