Next day, I walked slowly towards my class after the morning assembly stumbling into Dave who looked lost I called his name softly as he turned his face reading no expression. He made to walk away but I stopped him with my voice so low and shaky
"Are you alright Dave?".
He turned back to me giving me a cold stare as he said without mixing his words like an eloquent speaker
"Did you asked Emily to attack Annie?".
I almost lost my balance as it dawned on me that he had found out what Emily had done, I searched frantically for something to cover up Emily's outrageous crime
"It was an accident"
I knew right away it was a lame excuse as I noticed he chuckled softly still wearing the cold stare on his face he moved closer to me, I stepped back in fear he stopped when he was only few inches away from me and said staring me deep in the eyes
"Did you hate Annie that much for you to send your godforsaken friend to attack her?".
I hated the fact that he called Emily names but I couldn't do anything as that would make him believe I had a hand in whatever Emily did, the other part of me felt sad thinking about how much he really loves and cared for Annie I consciously regained my voice as I moved back a little
"I will talk to Emily, but I don't have a hand in this believe me".
He moved away from me and said his voice calm but firm
"Apologize to Annie".
I shook in Surprise and anger, was he actually telling me to apologize to Annie?", That is the last thing I would want to do".
He stood as he waited for my reply. I quickly said feeling jealous and angry inside me
"I will apologize to her".
He smiled and walked away. I almost ripped myself in anger.
