"It's been five months since my cousin's death," Naarah said
Mina paused in what she was doing. She turned her gaze to her friend.
" What are you trying to say Naarah?"
A sigh left her lips before saying;
"Don't you think, it's time to go on a date"
"You've got to be kidding," Mina exclaimed. "It's been five months, Naarah not five years. Aaron wouldn't be happy if he heard that"
" Then he shouldn't have died, Mina. Look at you. Where is the friend I used to know? My cousin was a jackass. He shouldn't have left you behind. That car accident was nothing compared to what he'd done to you."
Mina massaged her temples.
" I… I don't even know what to say. I don't want to settle down right now Naarah. Aaron is still the man I love. Yes, I agree he didn't give me the life I wanted, but he gave me Ellie."
They both looked at Ellie. She looked cute with her fist in her mouth. She was in a blue floral dress with a bow in her hair.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have suggested that. It's just that, I can't see you suffer Mina. You need a life. Not this. You are taking care of everything and everyone. I just want someone to take care of you."
Mina took in a deep breath. She held her friend's hand and squeezed it lightly.
" You are taking care of me, aren't you? You're here for me. And that is enough."
"I'm sorry if I'm interrupting."
Mina rolled her eyes before she turned to Francis. She must say, he's started to be a thorn in her flesh. She is always seeing him everywhere.
" Not at all," Naarah exclaimed.
She stood up from her seat.
"I'm going to spend time with my beautiful niece. You guys should enjoy."
Before she could utter another word, Nasrah was far gone. Mina huffed before she looked at Francis. She eyed him up.
"What brought you here, Francis?"
He moved closer to her and stretched out the red roses to her.
" Beautiful flowers for this beautiful lady."
Mina took the flowers from him. Francis sat across from her, in the same seat as Naraah did.
Mina stared at him before she blinked away. What was wrong with this man? She thought he loved her friend but why was she getting flowers instead of Naarah?
" So..? What brought you here Francis?"
He scratched the back of his head before saying;
" I came to visit "
" You came to visit the wrong person or?"
Francis cleared his throat;
" I came to visit you, Mina Angel"
She leaned back against the chair and crossed her arms.
" Why? Don't you have to win Naarah's heart or do you need a betweener?"
