"You just need to collect your remaining chips, then end the game, go have some food, take a bath, and sleep. Come back tomorrow!"

These words had an underlying meaning, which his father, after years in the gambling scene, immediately understood.

He glanced at the two unfamiliar faces sitting opposite him and nonchalantly tossed his cards onto the table, "I'm out."

As he stood up, the croupier began to clear his chips.

The two strangers seemed genuinely unconcerned, casting only a brief glance before looking away.

Morris kept an eye on the pair, and, upon seeing they weren't making any sudden moves, he breathed a sigh of relief, chalking up his own sensitivity.

The old man collected the remaining cash, and both he and Morris headed for the door. No one stopped them, nor was anyone likely to do so.

"Do you think they were cheating?"

Standing outside the gambling den, Morris's father lit a cigarette from his hand.
