Just when the spirit arrows were about to hit Alaric, Vulcan appeared out of nowhere with a broken shield in his hand.
Grunting, the barbarian warrior blocked all the spirit arrows that were about to fall on Alaric.
Argh!
Vulcan grimaced. The spirit arrows penetrated the broken shield and pierced through his arms, but he ignored the pain and kept the shield in front to protect Alaric.
"You will have to step over my dead body first before you can kill him!" He roared.
At some point, the broken shield was torn apart and all the spirit arrows fell upon Vulcan's body.
Schhk! Schkk!
The spirit arrows penetrated through his flesh and left bloody holes that made him bleed profusely. However, he stubbornly resisted until the last spirit arrow struck his chest.
He staggered and fell on his knees, gasping for breath.
At this moment, Alaric had gathered enough energy to release his sword strike.
With one powerful swing, he slashed out his sword.
