Suddenly, a cold voice echoed in Houtu's ears, causing her eyes to freeze. She swiftly turned towards the source of the voice, only to see Ye Xuan smiling disdainfully at her.
"Ye Xuan?" Houtu growled coldly.
Ye Xuan paid no mind to Houtu's hostile gaze, his smile remaining serene as he sauntered towards her.
"Let me tell you why. The reason is quite simple: although you have the merit to become a Saint, sanctification through merit requires the Hongmeng Purple Qi, which is why you can't become a Saint."
Ye Xuan spoke softly, his eyes full of oddities as a mysterious glint flashed across them while he gazed at Houtu.
"Hongmeng Purple Qi?"
