Alice Adar stared at the alarm clock for a good ten seconds, her tone full of despair.
"I must have been out of my mind to spend last month's salary on this thing..."
With her messily slept hair, she got out of bed and wobbled into the bathroom. In the mirror appeared a dispirited blue-haired girl, with little sticky notes beside it in her own handwriting to encourage herself: "One job a week and you'll eat and drink without worry, two jobs a week and you'll step into affluence, three jobs a week and you'll be flying high!"
"One job a week and my back hurts, two jobs a week and I'm dying..." Alice muttered like a zombie, "Three jobs a week and I'm a walking corpse... Ah, damn it! Pull yourself together!"
