To the east of Guan Island, there are only four airports with runways long enough and up to A-Class standards, meaning the surface is strong enough to withstand the massive impact from special aircraft landings. Besides Keith Naval Air Station and Wumu Air Force Base, the other two are located on Honu Island and Yotun Island. After the Newland Republic joined the war, these two airports were heavily bombed.
In fact, all four of the A-Class airports were bombed.
Fortunately, the Newland Army was relying on intelligence from a few years ago.
The Keith Naval Air Station was expanded just three years ago, or rather, it was renovated, and the runway was repaved to meet A-Class standards. Before that, the airport was only quasi-A-Class, supporting only strategic transporters, and could not serve special aircraft.
Moreover, several large hangars were built during this period.
The key point is, they are all temperature-controlled hangars!
This is really high-end stuff.
