Muraoka did not respond to Panasonic Toyoshige's words.
Panasonic Toyoshige looked at him somewhat strangely.
"In the urgency of the situation, I neglected some details," Muraoka murmured to himself before looking at Panasonic Toyoshige and saying, "Fujii has been in charge of the orchard for so many years, and being a cautious man, he definitely had some evidence that could implicate you."
Panasonic Toyoshige did not argue, as he had guessed this already, "Yes, but he's already dead."
Since Fujii had proved with his death that he wouldn't betray him, what was the point of worrying about those pieces of evidence?
As long as they didn't fall into the hands of the police.
"Yes, he is dead, but he didn't hand over the evidence before he died. Since he would rather die than betray you, what was the point of keeping that evidence?" Muraoka asked expressionlessly.
