The world spun around as the surrounding space slowly changed, and the King of Kings, at some unknown time, quietly passed away, no longer appearing before Eden's eyes.
Eden gasped for breath in large gulps.
He opened his eyes and found himself somehow situated within the heathen city.
"Was that just... an illusion?"
Eden fell to the ground, touching his own face.
Just a short while ago, in the darkness where the future and the present intersect, the King of Kings had once again appeared to him.
He seemed to have said something, shown something, but Eden now could not recall any of it, as if it were buried in the depths of his soul.
The words of the King of Kings and the sensations in the darkness had all dissipated and were elusive, leaving only vague impressions and fragmented images in his mind.
Then, with a blink of an eye, Eden found himself in the future.
"What is going on..."
Eden murmured helplessly.
