Time gradually passed, and Eden slowly ascended the slope.
It was now late, the night shrouded the grand city, the curfew had arrived, and all lights were extinguished. Standing not far from the Scripture Institute, Eden turned back to overlook the city, unsure if it was his illusion, but he always felt that the thick darkness encroached on every street and alley, reflecting the rampant sins of this city.
He stood there, involuntarily calling in his heart, King of Kings, look at this city that believes in you, what has your fear brought it? People still commit crimes, still fall into depravity, and they too are destined to succumb.
"I did not come for everyone."
Once again, a voice echoed in his heart.
Though it was merely a moment, just an instant passing through his mind, Eden felt a sharp pain, followed by an indescribable bitterness.
Eden couldn't help but ask himself at this moment, why would God come for everyone?
