The two individuals who had just been conversing hurried toward the nearby signal station, but before they got very far, a trail of fire suddenly fell directly before them.
The wave of fire from the explosion sent them flying, and the intense heat made them cry out in pain. Even so, the surging fear within their hearts made them shakily stand up again.
Through the rising smoke and dust, they saw a brown sphere covered in pores, and one after another, dark, odd-shaped insects crawled out from those pores.
Some insects had wings on their backs, while others had bifurcated antennae on their heads...
Regardless of what these insects looked like or what their habits were, the moment they emerged from the pores, they inflated like balloons, their sizes swelling a hundredfold instantly.
