Richard's heart skipped a beat, but he quickly steadied his mind.
The Nightmare Artifact had originally belonged to the Pyramid, and the slight mark in the middle, leaving a precaution, was quite normal.
But Richard shook his head, saying, "I feel that's not enough."
He had already considered the Nightmare Artifact to be in his possession. Using it as compensation was akin to getting something for nothing.
How could Richard agree to that!
"Not enough?" The Pyramid was initially taken aback, then quickly understood Richard's implication and couldn't help but say angrily, "Wizard, do you really take my belongings as your own?"
Richard nodded unabashedly.
"Yes, I do take it as my own, for it is rightly mine."
Richard's straightforward reply caused the Pyramid to be somewhat stunned.
He had seen wizards treat contracts like toilet paper, but he had never seen a wizard acknowledge so blatantly that he treated contracts in the same manner.
