Just at the first glance when everyone saw the Deep Bishops beginning to gather magic, they realized something bad was happening. If they couldn't interrupt the opponent, it would turn problematic!
It's as if the Sain Dungeon sensed their thoughts; around the Deep Bishops circled Elderly's decaying flesh, symbolizing dark purple magic of the Deep, rising up and generating a layer of protective shield around them, blocking attacks.
The next battle goal was actually quite clear, adventurers only needed to focus all their efforts on breaking the shield and then killing the Archbishop to interrupt the magic, but Sain had many considerations.
