She seemed to hear the Brass Woman mumbling something under her breath, but she couldn't make it out. When she turned her head again, the other had returned to her cool demeanor.

Following the route suggested by the Brass Woman all the way up, the scene opened up again, and under a twilight-like glow, she took the elevator all the way down.
The central castle of the Royal City, seen earlier from the lookout, appeared before her. A straight boulevard stretched forward, but it didn't connect directly to the castle. At the end of the road, there was a mechanism resembling a rotating elevator.
Standing at the edge of the mainland, she took a closer look and understood why the rotating elevator mechanism existed. The castle was simply too tall and massive, so much so that it required such a device to connect the various roads.
