While Athena was looking at this new mate of hers, she heard footsteps that sounded like it was the companions of her mate and indeed two males appeared and compared to the man Infront of her these two pale and at worst they seemed ordinary.
"Lord" bowing a little bit.
"Excuse us" the man said lightly without even looking at them, of which they both bowed again then disappeared within blink of an eye.
"A wolf?" the man asked but it looked like he was already sure she was a wolf and needed no answer but still, Athena nodded blankly and Aze her wolf was still jumping up and down inside her with joy, constantly complementing the man.
"Jake is my name, half wolf and half vampire." Jake showed a polite smile but in his head he so wanted to touch the little girl's head and poke her cute cheeks, but he just didn't want to scare her away.
Athena got a shock of her life when she heard that Jake is half wolf and half vampire because she grew up hearing her fellow pack mates saying that such is a bad omen and a sign of bad luck children of such origin were killed without mercy it is known around all Africa that vampires and werewolves were sworn enemies and every time they see each other blood scatter, they were even taught that vampires are bloodthirsty people and they are very cruel, evil including all kinds of things. Back at the moonlight pack Athena's parents were always used as an example their deaths showcased the cruelty of the vampires perfectly, looking at Jake, she wondered how he was allowed to live and he even had mans besides him, while Athena was still thinking when Jakes finger closed her mouth laughing lightly.
"You sure think a lot mate" he flicked Athena's forehead which made her blush and look away thinking 'why is he so close'. He should hate him, I mean he is the bad omen but looking at the guy in her eyes Athena couldn't bring herself to hate him,he is the mate blessed to her by moon goddess after her first mate, Vampires killed her parents but this had nothing to do Jake right, he didn't birth himself besides he didn't look like the bloodthirsty creatures described in the pack and that should be enough right?, she really didn't want to let go but is it worth it? Her pack would never agree, they hate Jake's kind a combination of wolf and vampire because they belive that their kind should never associate with their enemy but does it really matter to her, she is sure that she will not live permanently in the Moonlight pack, that was not her home no more. George is there and that Omega and a cub will be born ,everyone will be on their side. George will be the king ,a future king and no one goes against the king already she Athena doesn't belong there she never did and not in the future a mate that is faithless, she didn't want that and wasn't going to tolerate that ,she refuses to do that beside...Athena looked at the pupils infront of her eyes ,he looks trustworthy and moon goddess brought her another mate.
"I'm Athena from the moonlight pack, where is your pack" Athena said looking away shyly aside from George with that hug they shared when they found each other as mates this is the second man she have ever been close with and coupling with the fact that she is her mate it made things very ambiguous and her heart hot a little bit but she liked this feeling, she wonder if moon Goddess made a mistake with George and made it up to her with Jake or if she foreseen her outcome with George and blessed her with Jake but all in all she felt lucky.
"I have a clan not a pack, I don't live with wolves but vampires" He said continued " what are you doing here in the woods a home of vampires, where is your pack?"
"Uhm i got lost and now I'm here. Can you take me back, do you know the moonlight pack?" suddenly she was embarrassed would he think she is clueless and don't know the world, she looked down to the ground not daring to meet his eyes.
"he he he, silly thing" he held her chin making her eyes meet his, Athena's eyes had now golden pupils with water surrounding them "take you back? but I want to take you to my clan let them meet their queen but yes I know moonlight pack, slightly stronger than the others in Africa"
"G...go to your clan" Athena was stuttered 'so early' her eyes turned red
"Let go, let go!!!!" Aze said, with joy unlike Athena, who didn't know what embarrassment was. She felt happy and that it was only right for them to live with their mate once they'd found each other. Athena felt Aze didn't remember George, probably because she hadn't met him, but that was good.
"otherwise?, aren't we mates?" he said
"Athena let me meet my mate, let me shift" Aze said begging talking fast you can feel that she wanted her mate very much, Athena didn't have time to think when Aze shifted suddenly a huge golden wolf showed up Jake looked a little bit stuttered he didn't expect that her mate was an Alpha and such beautiful Alpha, he touched the fur of Aze ruffling it.
"hey" Jake said with a weak voice almost like he didn't talk at all, Aze jumped on top of him making Jake laugh he then also shifted revealing a brown wolf which was the same size of Aze, his wolf had a hint of cruelty and it looked very scarry but Aze was even more happy the two wolves started playing and howling the two man no so far away looked at each other speechlessly.
