Ye Xishui followed Qian Ran through the Gate of the Undead and stepped into the half-plane of the undead. What she saw left her utterly astounded.
Extending her spiritual power outward, the entire undead half-plane unfolded in her mind.
Unlike the Xumi Ring, which had limited storage space and couldn't truly be considered a world, this half-plane was an expansive domain. While it wasn't a full-fledged dimension due to its limitations, it was still enough to leave Ye Xishui, the Queen of Evil Soul Masters, in awe.
"This is… a dimensional plane? You actually possess a dimensional plane?"
"And not just any plane—a domain for undead creatures." Ye Xishui couldn't close her mouth in shock.
This plane had been constructed by the undead calamity, Death God Electrolux, as a laboratory for his experiments with necromancy. Everything here was tailored to the needs of undead lifeforms.
Rather than feeling discomfort in this environment, Ye Xishui found herself enjoying it immensely.
Evil soul masters had peculiar tastes.
The undead aura that normal people would find revolting was, to Ye Xishui, an ideal place for cultivation.
If evil soul masters could regularly train here, their strength would skyrocket.
"How did you accomplish this? Is this one of Spirit Hall's secrets?" Ye Xishui asked, still struggling to process the sight before her. She quickly noticed the plane's deficiencies—it wasn't entirely self-sustaining. This had to be a creation of divine origin.
"This plane was created by a demigod. I inherited his legacy. He wasn't from our galaxy. Even the demigods of our galaxy wouldn't be capable of this," Qian Ran explained.
In the original storyline, Electrolux was invincible below the god level and could even contend with third-class gods using his undead army. Originating from the Saint-Magic Continent in a galaxy with different world rules than Douluo, gods there lost their physical forms after ascension, existing only as divine consciousness.
Electrolux had the potential to become a supreme god. If he had grown up in the Douluo galaxy, he would have at least reached the peak of a primary god.
Qian Ran was certain that the demigods of Douluo couldn't compare. Di Tian, after all, was also a demigod, yet he was merely a bit stronger than a Titled Douluo. The gap was vast.
Of course, the properties of different galaxies made direct comparisons tricky.
For the first time, Ye Xishui grasped the vastness of the world beyond Douluo and the concept of galaxies.
And someone who could create such a plane was only a demigod?
"You didn't bring me here just to show this off, did you?" Ye Xishui snapped, her tone irritable. While the plane tempted her greatly, she recognized its limitations.
The plane existed only because Qian Ran summoned it through a soul skill—there was no way for her to take it from him.
"Of course not. I wanted to invite you for tea. You'll understand soon enough," Qian Ran said, heading toward the nearby palace.
Compared to the structures in the Xumi Ring, the undead palace here was still in its infancy. It was being built by the undead creatures inhabiting the plane. While tireless, they lacked the dexterity and ingenuity of humans.
"You even built a palace here? You sure know how to enjoy yourself," Ye Xishui said, unable to suppress a chuckle as she watched the skeleton soldiers diligently hauling stones.
The sight was almost comical—undead creatures, often symbols of terror, were behaving like disciplined construction workers.
While the palace exterior was crude, some rooms inside were already furnished, clearly prepared for Qian Ran's occasional visits.
In addition to Qian Ran and Ye Xishui, there was another person here: Nana.
Nana spent most of her days cultivating in this plane. On the one hand, it allowed her to be near her parents' spirits; on the other hand, the environment here greatly enhanced her training. While Nana was no longer an evil soul master, her Ghost Spirit martial soul shared some affinities with them, which was why the Holy Spirit Cult had recruited her in the first place.
Training here offered Nana a day's worth of progress equivalent to two or three days outside, not to mention other hidden benefits.
"Please, have some tea," Qian Ran said, pinching a few tea leaves between his fingers and placing them in a cup.
This was Enlightenment Tea, a rare treasure. Qian Ran only had about a pound of it, most of which was reserved for Snow Empress.
This tiny amount was a mere drop in the ocean compared to his overall stash.
It was free advertising—a single cup to let Ye Xishui experience its wonders.
Seeing the sparse leaves floating in the cup, Ye Xishui's face darkened. She looked as though she wanted to kick Qian Ran.
This was his grand hospitality?
Did he think so little of her, the Queen of Evil Soul Masters, that she wasn't worth a proper serving of tea?
Ye Xishui gritted her teeth in fury, ready to unleash her wrath.
Throughout her life, Ye Xishui had been adored and pampered, surrounded by powerful figures vying for her attention. Even now, that remained the case.
With her youth and beauty restored, Ye Xishui's confidence soared. She was used to being fawned over—how could she tolerate Qian Ran's dismissive treatment?
"What are you glaring at me for? This tea is no ordinary drink. I haven't even tasted it myself," Qian Ran said nonchalantly, shrugging. Enlightenment Tea required a Level 99 Limit Douluo to fully activate its effects. For anyone else, it was just ordinary tea.
"If you're deceiving me, I won't let you off," Ye Xishui huffed. She had almost stormed out, but Qian Ran's sincerity held her back.
Had he been mocking her, she would have lost her temper long ago.
Ye Xishui was no ordinary woman. Pampered from birth, pursued by two exceptional talents in her youth, and later married to a Limit Douluo who doted on her, she was accustomed to having her way. Her children, too, possessed extraordinary potential.
She had been raised, loved, and spoiled by powerful figures all her life. Comparing her to someone like Tang Wutong, who also had a streak of yandere tendencies, was laughable.
Ye Xishui had walked into traps knowingly just to test others' feelings for her, leading to mutual destruction. Could Tang Wutong ever pull off something so extreme?
This was why Qian Ran approached Ye Xishui with caution. She wasn't just dangerous—she was deadly.
Thankfully, with Enlightenment Tea as leverage, Qian Ran felt confident in managing her. Without it, he might not have dared to harbor ambitions toward someone like Ye Xishui.
She was, without a doubt, the most challenging female character in the Douluo Dalu series.
