Chapter 538 - Chapter 537: The Subtle Charm, Not Everyone Gets It

"You're biased against me!" Ye Xishui huffed, displeased.

Did she really come off as the overly emotional type?

"You're absolutely right," Qian Ran replied casually, unwilling to argue the point. After all, few people ever truly understood themselves.

"Can we use magic in our plane?" Ye Xishui's curiosity was piqued. Beyond her sympathy for Electrolux's tragic tale, what intrigued her most was this concept of magic.

Mages—it sounded like a rather impressive profession.

"We can. Magic and soul skills are more or less similar. The difference lies in how the power is wielded. It's nothing particularly groundbreaking."

"So, you know magic too? Did you inherit Electrolux's legacy? But wasn't he from another star system? How did you even meet him?" Ye Xishui transformed into a fountain of questions, her curiosity seemingly boundless.

"Well, that's a long story. To summarize, Electrolux's spiritual power was so immense that at the moment of his death, it tore through space, leaving behind a wisp of consciousness that drifted to the Douluo Continent. You probably know what happened next. So, I inherited all his secrets and methods."

"If you want to know more about his story, take a look at this." Qian Ran handed Ye Xishui a copy of Sealed Divine Throne, streamlined and adapted by the system.

Ye Xishui took the book with great interest, flipping through it eagerly. She quickly realized it told the story of that continent and fell silent as she immersed herself in its pages.

Seated on a bone-crafted chair, Ye Xishui read quietly.

Meanwhile, Qian Ran sat comfortably at the dining table, munching on fruit while unabashedly admiring Ye Xishui across from him.

The scene felt almost surreal. Here was Ye Xishui, the indomitable queen of the evil soul masters, clad in a provocatively snug outfit, calmly reading a book.

The atmosphere was undeniably strange, yet from Qian Ran's perspective, it was thoroughly enjoyable.

As a man, he couldn't help but appreciate this peculiar kind of allure.

Think of how non-mainstream some outfits worn by certain online influencers could be, yet they'd still have hordes of fans drooling over them. The more eccentric the outfit, the more appealing it seemed. Maybe it was simply a case of conventional attire becoming too commonplace to excite.

The clothes Qian Ran had chosen for Ye Xishui were deliberately a size too small. The snugness of both the outfit and the stockings gave her an irresistibly tight fit. The petite jacket she wore only accentuated her already voluptuous figure, making it seem as though her curves might spill out at any moment.

The cropped jacket, unable to zip up past her chest, highlighted Ye Xishui's already fiery figure, taking the visual impact to another level. Her long black stockings, paired with thigh straps pressing lightly into her skin, further amplified the appeal.

Unlike Juzi and Keke, Ye Xishui's figure carried a subtle fullness. She wasn't the slender type typical of younger women. Like many women of her age, her body had filled out in all the right places, giving her an air of mature charm.

This wasn't "fat" by any stretch; she didn't even qualify as "plump."

Her slight softness created a comfortable aesthetic—an appeal that was as pleasing to the eye as it was irresistible to imagine embracing.

Qian Ran privately classified this type of figure as "mature beauty." Without that little bit of softness, half the allure would be gone.

Before Qian Ran's transmigration, Earth had already begun embracing the aesthetics of "slim yet curvy." Sure, the traditional black-haired, slender beauty was still gorgeous, but holding someone with a little softness was undeniably cozier. Besides, if you married a slender beauty, chances were she'd naturally gain a bit of weight after a few years and a kid. Presto—plump perfection.

Ye Xishui had always shrouded herself in mystery, donning a black robe that concealed her entire form from outsiders. It was rare for anyone to glimpse her true appearance.

But Qian Ran had the privilege of seeing it all, and he had to admit—it felt pretty great.

If he had to sum her up in one phrase, it would be "a feast for the eyes."

"Master." Nana appeared after finishing her cultivation, hurrying over. When she noticed Ye Xishui next to Qian Ran, her lips pouted slightly. She had assumed Qian Ran had come specifically to see her after hearing her parents mention his arrival.

Nana gave Ye Xishui a once-over and couldn't help but be stunned by her striking appearance.

Nana had long legs herself, but tall women often struggled to maintain a curvaceous figure. While she wasn't lacking, her proportions weren't as immediately eye-catching as Ye Xishui's.

Here was an even more formidable rival than Juzi or Keke. Nana steeled herself.

"How's your cultivation going?" Qian Ran asked.

"After reaching the Soul Emperor level, my progress has slowed down. But here, my training speed has picked up. I think I can level up in about three months," Nana replied earnestly.

She was content with her current life.

Ever since Qian Ran brought her parents to this undead semi-plane, she had been able to spend time with them daily. Even though they existed only in undead form, it was enough for Nana.

Moreover, her parents could also cultivate here, and their futures held exciting possibilities.

"No need to rush. Your current pace is just fine." Pulling Nana into his embrace, Qian Ran affectionately pinched her small nose.

Obedient, sweet, and easy to please, Nana was truly endearing.

"I understand." Nana rested her head against Qian Ran's chest. Her only goal in cultivation was to not fall too far behind others—especially Juzi and Keke. She had little desire for power; serving Qian Ran and staying by his side was her greatest joy.

"Master, who's this?" Nana asked, pointing at Ye Xishui, who was engrossed in her book. Through the protagonist's experiences, Ye Xishui was gaining a vivid understanding of Electrolux's world. Like someone diving into a fantasy novel for the first time, she found herself thoroughly enchanted.

"Her? Are you sure you want to know?"

"She's Ye Xishui, Supreme Leader of the Holy Spirit Cult, Queen of the Evil Soul Masters, and a Rank 99 Ultimate Douluo Evil Soul Master," Qian Ran declared casually.

Nana's eyes widened slightly at Ye Xishui's identity but didn't react too dramatically.

No matter how powerful Ye Xishui might be, she wasn't more formidable than Qian Ran in Nana's eyes.

"You're not even a little surprised? You used to be a Holy Spirit Cult servant yourself," Qian Ran teased, expecting a more startled response. The Holy Spirit Cult should've been a source of both fear and hatred for Nana. Ye Xishui, as its leader, ought to have been her greatest enemy.

"I'm not a Holy Spirit Cult servant anymore. I'm Master's maid now," Nana said, blinking her large eyes. "Besides, no matter how strong Ye Xishui is, she still has to behave in front of Master."
