Chapter 131 - Vampire city VI

"But I still can't be sure..." Blade murmured as he drew his sword.

His healing abilities were now on cooldown, as all of his Divine Power was spent, but he could still rely on his Sword and magic skills for attacks.

He rushed in, seizing the opportunity as Elfin Stone clashed with Mercedes, while wielding his beautiful, crimson sword.

"I want that sword," Blade muttered, watching Mercedes fight with grace and skill, her power rivaling that of the great Lords.

This time, their attacks synchronized, as if they had a telepathic connection.

Elfin Stone, focused on Mercedes, found himself continuously struck by Blade's swift and precise attacks.

"Why...?" Elfin Stone muttered, his expression twisting in frustration.

"This woman should be able to hurt me as she is blessed by the Holy energy... but that vermin is not so why?! Why this man's attacks... they hurt me too!"

He began questioning, not realizing that Blade's Sun Sword, a weapon that is the bane of all vampires, was far deadlier than Mercedes' strikes alone.

Despite Blade's been weaker than him, his sword was still a true threat to any vampire, making him an opponent that could not be ignored.

"The best strategy..." Blade thought, watching as Elfin Stone's fresh wounds bled profusely, the red mist around him growing thicker as he attempted to regenerate.

Elfin Stone glanced at Mercedes and Blade, his bloodshot eyes twitching.

"Sun Blade..." he muttered under his breath.

Blade calculated as he looked at Mercedes, while slashing at Elfin Stone, who raised his sword to block it giving Mercedes time to attack him.

Mercedes had 20 seconds left on her Holy Buff, but her stamina was also wearing thin.

And then, there was the Blood Field—a vampire's domain.

If they dragged this fight out, Elfin Stone would regain his strength, and the tide would turn.

They had to end this.

Now.

Blade continued to unleash one skill after another, forcing Elfin Stone to endure the full brunt of his relentless assault.

"This... maggot..." Elfin Stone growled, his crimson eyes filled with rage.

For over 350 years, he had reigned as a predator, treating humans as nothing more than cattle. But now, some insignificant prey was actually forcing him onto the defensive, injuring him again and again.

"Arghhh!"

The holy aura radiating from Blade's attacks seared his flesh, causing him to scream in agony.

"So many times..." Elfin Stone thought, his mind flashing back to countless battles.

"So many times, I've made others cry in pain... but now I...!"

His fury reached its peak as he roared, "Just die! Blood Execution!"

The Blood Field suddenly distorted, forming massive crimson spears—each one razor-sharp and aimed directly at Mercedes and Blade.

Mercedes swiftly dodged the attacks, while Blade dashed from one point to another, blocking the deadly projectiles with his sword.

At the same time, fiery rays of magic rained down on Elfin Stone, searing his regenerating wounds and forcing him back.

"Mercedes, now! Fall back!" Blade commanded.

Mercedes hesitated for a split second but ultimately obeyed, retreating as Blade stared down Elfin Stone.

Elfin Stone clutched his wounds, realizing that his regeneration couldn't keep up.

Blade smirked. "It's over."

"Detonate."

A massive explosion erupted from Elfin Stone's wounds, engulfing him in a blinding sunburst of divine energy.

"HOW...?!?!"

Blade had secretly used Enchant magic with Detonate, which was charged with Sun flare magic, combining these three spells, he was able to place the Detonate spell on Elfin Stone body using his previous attacks—waiting for the perfect moment to trigger them.

The holy detonation burned away Elfin Stone's flesh, disintegrating his body piece by piece.

As his screams faded, all that remained of the once-mighty vampire was dust. His health was already low, because of earlier attacks, this spell was enough to kill him.

Blade exhaled sharply, lowering his sword.

It was finally over.

[Vampire Earl Elfin Stone is forced to sleep after exhausting all his powers.]

"That was unexpected. You set up a magic trap in such a short time," Mercedes said, approaching Blade.

Blade nodded. "We were lacking. We should've been able to kill him in a straight fight."

Mercedes shook her head. "I think it was a fair match. You used your intelligence to lure him into your magic trap. That means you won it fairly."

Blade let out a small laugh but didn't argue.

Afterward, they spent another four hours clearing out the remaining buildings and enemies, which allowed Blade to level up to 278.

Then, while exploring, They noticed something unusual.

"Hey, look at this!"

They had found a hidden path, concealed behind a rock wall.

Thanks to Mercedes' keen eyesight, they were able to easily locate and access it.

The moment when all the people behind him entered the cave.

[The Guardian of the Labyrinth has detected an intruder and woken up from a long sleep.]

[The traps have been activated.]

Papat!Pa pa pa pat!

Kwarururung!

A rain of arrows fell from the ceiling while spikes shot up from the ground. At the same time, chain lightning surged from the walls, crackling with power stronger than what most magicians could conjure.

"Pledge Sword!"

Mercedes' twin swords flashed, and all the incoming attacks were either broken or parried away with incredible precision.

As the trap finished triggering, two towering golems emerged, their massive bodies radiating an ominous glow.

They were guardians, silently standing in the way of those who dared enter their domain.

Blade and Mercedes easily defeated the labyrinth guardians as they continued deeper inside.

As they advanced further, they came upon what appeared to be a small chamber, with a coffin resting in the center.

"Hmm, this looks like someone's resting place," Mercedes observed, but then her keen insight activated.

"It's Braham... and someone else," she said as Braham's spirit emerged from the coffin.

'That useless brother of mine couldn't kill them, but these two are strong…'Braham thought to himself, though his expression remained neutral.

"You are here once again," Braham said neutrally, but his mind was reeling. 'Damn…'"
