There was silence for a moment, until Renxue smirked. "No objections… except for one thing."
Everyone looked at her as she turned to Tang San, her tone sharp.
"Why are you taking the lead when you're the most useless one here?"
Tang San blinked in confusion, his face tightening in displeasure. "What do you mean?"
"What I mean is—when you released your martial spirit, I could clearly see it. Your martial spirit is broken. You've already damaged your own martial foundation," she said coldly.
Tang San's expression darkened. "You don't know what you're talking about. My teacher is the Grandmaster. It was him who choose the best spirit ring for me. Not to mention, His ten core principles are recognized by everyone!"
"Hah! What a fool you are," Qian Renxue said, scoffing. Then she looked around at the others. "Do any of you even know who this so-called Grandmaster is?"
Everyone stayed silent, some glancing at each other awkwardly before slowly shaking their heads.
"See? No one even knows him. And this is the man whose theories you're blindly following? Just some obscure 'ten principles' written by a failed Spirit Master—and you have the gall to base your entire cultivation on them?" she said disdainfully.
She turned her cold gaze back to Tang San. "You're just following a level 29 waste and even absorbed a beast spirit rings on his guidance damaging your plant origin and ruining your potential. And you think you can direct others? Pathetic."
Tang San's hands clenched in anger. "How dare you insult my teacher!" he growled.
Before he could react, Qian Renxue's aura flared. She appeared in front of him in a blur, her black jade-colored palm glowing. A single strike sent Tang San flying backward like a ragdoll, crashing into the stone wall behind them and slumping down, half-conscious.
"Brother!" Xiao Wu cried out, rushing to Tang San's side. She then glared fiercely at Renxue, but Qian Renxue didn't even spare her a glance. She simply raised her hand.
"I can send you flying too," she said calmly.
Her aura flared again, heavier than before. Xiao Wu flinched instinctively, stepping back and dropping to her knees beside Tang San, who was still groaning in pain, half-conscious against the stone wall.
"Tch. What a team of overconfident weaklings," Renxue muttered, dusting her robes casually. "Ignoring those two idiots is for the best."
The rest of the group remained silent. Tension hung in the air like a blade.
Ning Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing exchanged uncertain glances.
Zhu Zhuqing leaned close and whispered, "How did she do that? She didn't even use a spirit skill… but her power felt overwhelming."
Renxue didn't bother turning to look at them. She lifted her hand again. A subtle black jade glow pulsed around her fingers, flickering with a faint inner light.
"It's something Mo Luochen taught us," she said flatly. "Armament Haki. It reinforces the body and spirit. You can fight people far above your level with it. Only those he acknowledges are allowed to learn it."
At that, everyone turned to stare at Mo Luochen.
Mo Luochen, who had been standing off to the side silently, sighed as everyone's attention shifted to him. He flinched slightly, shooting a glare at Renxue.
'Woman, did you have to reveal that?' he muttered under his breath.
Renxue just looked back at him with a smug little smile, as if silently asking for praise. Her eyes sparkled mischievously, clearly saying, 'Hey, see? I made your skill shine in front of these nobodies—now praise me.'
Mo Luochen rolled his eyes, exhaling as he scratched his head.
"It's just a self-created technique," he said casually. "Nothing much."
"Hey! I asked you to cooperate, not fight amongst yourself!" Zhao Wuji said sharply after checking on Tang San.
Renxue rolled her eyes. "Who told him to act like a leader when he clearly isn't one?" she said coldly.
Zhao Wuji sighed and shook his head, then turned to Tang San, helping him up. "Remember, each Spirit Master has their pride. Unless you know you're stronger than them, don't try to belittle or challenge them. Or you'll get results like what you just saw," he warned seriously.
Tang San, still grimacing from the pain, nodded silently.
Meanwhile, he stared at the black jade light faintly flickering on Renxue's hand.
"Armament Haki, huh? It's strangely similar to my Mysterious Jade Hand… I need to learn it," he thought to himself, determination flickering in his eyes.
He didn't say anything further, but deep down, he had already made up his mind to ask Mo Luochen whether that technique could be learned—or copied as a secondary skill.
Zhao Wuji stepped forward, rolling his shoulders as his towering frame loomed over the group. "Alright. Since that little clash is over, it's time for the rest of you to show what you've got. This is your official fourth test—last one before admission. You'll fight me together. You only need to withstand my attacks for sixty seconds. That's it."
He cracked his knuckles. "Of course, if you can't do that, then forget about Shrek."
The group tensed. Ning Rongrong, Zhu Zhuqing, Felicia, Renxueand Mo Luochen stepped forward.
"I'll support from the rear," Ning Rongrong said as nine-colored light began to shimmer around her. "Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Pagoda—Spirit Ability: Speed Boost!"
Mo Luochen grinned. "Nice start."
"Stay light!" Mo Luochen shouted, his feet glowing faintly.
Then—boom!—he vanished.
Not teleported. Just moved.
Too fast.
A visible ripple in the air burst where he'd been standing as he activated his first skill:
"Molecular Acceleration."
His body blurred, reappearing above Zhao Wuji in midair, momentum coiling around his limbs like steam.
Crack!
He dropped a blazing axe-kick straight at Zhao Wuji's shoulder.
The Shrek teacher raised his arm to block—
But the impact came a split second later.
Reality seemed to lag, the delay due to the manipulated particle shift around Mo Luochen's body.
BOOM!
Zhao Wuji skidded back half a meter, the floor cracking beneath him.
"Heh… tricky one," he muttered.
