The more Lu Jun comprehended [Summon Wind and Rain], the more terrifying he felt it was. Ordinary rainfall was one thing, but if mixed with certain anomalous waters, he could unleash a cataclysmic disaster capable of destroying the world.
For example, he could merge North Abyssal Heavy Water into a downpour.
Each drop of rain carried an immense corrosive force, condensed and heavy as steel, and could continuously accumulate tides, growing heavier and heavier, until an entire nation was utterly transformed into an oceanic wasteland.
"Compared to the Death and Life Calamity talents, which have limited scope, the Water Calamity talent, when fully unleashed, is literally nature's revenge, overturning the world."
Lu Jun's eyes grew deep, thoughtful. Such apocalyptic power was not something to wield lightly.
Splash—!
As he completely refined the River-Suppressing Pearl and the disaster talent, the Water Star Sea gradually calmed, and the transcendent power North Abyssal Qi Sea also reached completion, the dark blazing sun in his abdomen rising slowly.
The nine concentrated drops of North Abyssal Heavy Water, bathed by the two powers, kept dividing—ten drops… eleven… twelve… visibly increasing.
Soon, above the black oceanic expanse, thirty-six mysterious water orbs floated, their surfaces increasingly crystal-clear, containing immense vapor, each drop equal to a vast ocean.
Seeing this, Lu Jun chuckled lightly, "An unexpected delight."
He paid little attention; the River Suppressing Pearl and Summon Wind and Rain were the key. Increases in Water cultivation, enhancement of transcendent power, or Water intermediate magic Voilent Wave reaching level five were merely minor details.
However, the latter reminded Lu Jun to observe the eight major magic systems. He thought, "Currently, all Basic-Tier magic is at levels four to five; intermediate magic, levels four to five should also be scheduled."
At this point, with Lu Jun's cultivation and the enemies he faced, ordinary basic or intermediate magic had limited combat utility.
But if there was spare effort, it could be leveled: firstly to increase magical energy, secondly because certain magic effects were remarkable, one could never know when they might be needed.
For example, Psychic Basic-Tier Level Five True Name Foresight and Curse Basic Level Five Thousand-Mile Soul Lock, when combined, could manipulate gods and spirits, usable indefinitely, detecting any danger in advance.
Time-Space Basic-Tier Level Five Nullification and Dimensional Basic-Tier Level Five Decree Seal also had endless utility.
Intermediate and advanced magic went without saying; they were most frequently used in prolonged battles and demon-clearing.
Lu Jun had already decided: all basic and intermediate magic capped at level five, all advanced magic capped at level four, laying a solid foundation.
Going beyond that was unnecessary—costs outweighed benefits. So much essence could be used elsewhere, like the Death system's undead.
Coincidentally, Lu Jun still had unused Warrior essences from the White Tiger Pendant, acquired while massacring the Snake-Scorpion Tribe in Africa, combined with the vast vital energy inside the High-Legged Spider abdomen.
Excluding the Death and Life systems awakened at Super-tier, he could likely accomplish this for the other six systems: Metal, Water, Curse, Mind, Time-Space, and Summoning.
"Indeed, I should calmly sort through my cultivation."
Lu Jun thought silently. There was also a major problem: the magical effects he controlled were too diverse. Although he memorized every move and could execute them effortlessly in battle, they could not yet be unified as one.
"Magic fusion is urgent."
He yearned for the day when Transcendent Power: Nether Gaze, Fantasy Pupil, and North Abyssal Sea could merge as one, releasing three transcendent magics together, with their power multiplying several times.
Then, Lu Jun would no longer need to rely on curse sneak attacks to face Monarch-level demons; he could slay them alone.
This period of seclusion ended after absorbing Wu Ku's essence. Before leaving, he attempted to explore the Great Gobi Ruins.
Lu Jun remembered the Time-Space Divine Eye was there, hoping the Time-Space system might gain an opportunity to ascend to the Super-tier.
Alas, when he arrived at Time-Space Town, he found nothing. The Time-Space Eye hid intentionally; he could not locate it.
"Sigh, it seems at least Time-Space system's forbidden magic level is required to control the Time-Space Divine Eye."
Lu Jun smiled wryly; it had become a vicious cycle. He would need to find additional Super-tier resources for the Time-Space system.
With his goals in Peru accomplished, Lu Jun had no interest in lingering. The three prepared to leave South America.
However, Sharjah suddenly contacted him, delivering shocking news over the phone.
"What? You have news of a Water Heavenly Seed?!"
Lu Jun was stunned and had to admit his heart raced. With Water power currently amplified eighteenfold, combined with the four major augmentations and the Summon Wind and Rain talent, to outsiders, it was almost indistinguishable from a Heavenly Seed.
But he knew this was only the beginning. Once Seed Devouring was elevated to Heavenly Seed, under the enhancements of the Water Avoidance Pearl and River Suppressing Pearl, Water power could reach thirtyfold—a terrifying, almost inhuman magnitude.
Over the phone, Sharjah's calm, emotionless tone said, "Correct. This is the Brown Army's sincere apology."
"However, I must warn you: that location is dangerous. Do not investigate unless you are fully Super-tier proficient."
Lu Jun nodded. Heavenly Seeds generally only appear in extreme elemental sanctuaries, where formidable demons often dwell.
Immediately, he received encrypted intelligence pinpointing the location of the Water Heavenly Seed.
"The Mariana Trench?! Located in the Pacific, the world's deepest trench?! Rumored to lead to the Nether Yellow Springs."
Lu Jun's expression turned uncertain. This place lay north of Australia, east of the Philippines.
It was said some demon tribes still survived in the shallow layers, while even the Sea Demon Empire dared not venture into the deeper regions.
Ring—ring!
Suddenly, a soft, melodious call resonated in Lu Jun's soul, it was the summoning of the mermaid girl within his contracted space.
He listened attentively, a trace of surprise flashing in his eyes.
According to the mermaid girl, the Mariana Trench was their ancestral homeland. Based on ancient national records about the Mermaid People, it seemed they once operated in the vicinity of this region.
Unfortunately, due to the constant encroachment of the Sea Demon Empire, the Emperor of the Subocean had been forced to lead his people in migration.
The mermaid girl displayed a hint of worry. After the national government period, she had lost contact with her mother and had no idea about the current condition of the Water Elemental Spirit.
Lu Jun sensed the mood of his contracted beast and reassured her, "Don't worry. In a little while, we'll go take a look."
Now that he had ascended to a dragon, bearing both divine soul and armor, he had the qualifications to intervene in matters concerning the Sea Demon Empire and the Water Elemental Spirit Tribe.
Of course, before that, he had to make full preparations, first raising his cultivation to the next bottleneck.
It had to be said, Lu Jun was quite pleased with the Brown Army's sincerity and sensed the urgent cooperative intent of its leader. It wasn't impossible…
He stroked his chin. To be honest, Nanzo and the others had indeed annoyed him. Originally, he had planned to act on behalf of the Inca Empire, selecting a few highly gifted South Americans to pass down the method so the legacy could continue.
But this incident had intervened, he might as well forget it.
Lu Jun was no masochist; there was no need to press warm faces against cold backs.
If the Brown Army wanted to cooperate later, then he could consider it.
