After listening to Bai Wei's words, Ivana's expression momentarily froze.
"Wh-what do you mean?" She raised her head to look at Bai Wei, involuntarily raising her voice to compensate for her lack of height, "What do you mean there's only one living person here?"
"Just the literal meaning." Bai Wei replied with a cheerful smile, "Could it be that you live alone?"
Ivana instinctively wanted to say "so what if I do?"
But the words got stuck in her throat.
Because Bai Wei's gaze made her uneasy, under Bai Wei's watchful eyes, Ivana felt as if all her lies were meaningless. Coupled with Vic also looking at her in curiosity, she realized that lying about this matter wasn't wise, so after hesitating for a while, she answered, "I live with my grandmother."
"Grandmother?" Bai Wei said, "No one else? What about your parents?"
"They're dead." Ivana answered a bit stiffly, "They've been dead for a long time. I grew up with my grandmother; she was the Holy Daughter before me."
