Chapter 328 - Chapter 327

Not only was his speed faster, but the extracted heart and the place on the chest where the heart was missing showed no trace of blood. Both Silva and Killua could easily extract a heart, so for Morin, it was naturally not a difficult task. He could even do it better and faster than them. However, he wasn't extracting hearts; he was placing heart-shaped stickers on them.

That's right! The place Morin chose to place the stickers was precisely on their burning hearts! There was no better spot than this!! With Morin's technique and positioning, it was almost impossible for them to remove it, even if they wanted to! In less than a second, the entire process was completed, and the person involved hadn't even realized it. The square-faced man in military attire was in a daze, unaware of what had just happened. But the other high-ranking officials behind him, under the influence of Nen, saw everything clearly.

Gulp. The sound of swallowing echoed in the room.

"This should do it," Morin surveyed his handiwork, nodding in satisfaction. Perfectly aligned, skillfully executed, even though it was his first time doing this kind of work, the result looked quite good. Yes, this was Morin's first attempt, and he did it with such confidence that he wasn't afraid of failing.

"How does it feel?" Morin asked the square-faced man in military attire with genuine concern.

"It feels... it feels great..." The man forced a smile, finally understanding what had just happened. His face pulled into a stiff grin, looking more like a grimace than a smile. Even though they were high-ranking officials, masters of facial expressions, facing Morin was like students facing a stern teacher, trembling with fear, not daring to breathe too loudly.

"What do you all think?" Morin turned to the remaining four people.

"Good, good, good!!" They nodded vigorously. What else could they say besides 'good'? Judging by Morin's demeanor, it was clear he intended to perform this heart surgery on them one by one. If they upset him and something went wrong during the process... It wouldn't take much, just a slightly heavier hand, to make them wish they were dead.

Under their terrified gazes, Morin placed heart-shaped stickers on each of their hearts. "Now everything's fine," Morin clapped his hands, then took out five remote controls and pressed the buttons. "Beep beep!!" The five of them felt a slight jolt in their heads, and instantly, their gazes towards Morin changed dramatically.

"It seems the effect is obvious, and even stronger than before," Morin noted with satisfaction as he put away the remote controls. Now, there were no worries on his side. He wasn't afraid of these five making any moves to remove the heart stickers. Not to mention whether they dared to undergo another surgery on their hearts, Morin knew how much they valued their lives, so it seemed unlikely. However, if they sought Nen users to remove the stickers, that wasn't impossible.

Did they really think Morin simply placed a small sticker on their hearts? As soon as their hearts were enveloped by Nen, Morin would immediately detect the disturbance and activate the little device placed in their hearts. Morin never fought a battle he wasn't confident in, and he informed them of the situation, causing their faces to turn pale.

Moreover, Morin hinted, intentionally or not, that he had left several hidden mechanisms in their bodies, completely quashing their unrealistic hopes and tiny aspirations. Morin believed it was better to tell them upfront, to prevent any unpleasant incidents from arising later. This way, he nipped any potential problems in the bud. The effect was undeniable; these five would not dare to entertain any thoughts. Morin then took stock of his gains from this venture.

---

Coming here not only allowed Morin to uncover the connection between the Navigation Bureau and the Gatekeepers and establish a link with Akai Smoke, laying the groundwork for a future journey to the Dark Continent.

He also fulfilled all of Netero's requests, completing the commission. Lastly, he managed to control five high-ranking officials from the V5, ensuring he now had allies at the top level of V5. Whether it was suppressing his identity as a Phantom Troupe member or seeking their help for any trouble, it was all possible without any worries from the V5 side.

This trip to the Navigation Bureau was indeed fruitful. Of course, for Morin, the most significant benefit wasn't just these three achievements. "The Navigation Bureau should have records of previous expeditions to the Dark Continent, right?" Morin casually pulled out a chair and sat down. "Bring those records to me. I want to take a good look."

What was the most precious thing at the Navigation Bureau? Navigation, navigation, and more navigation. Specifically, the methods to reach the Dark Continent and the records of experiences and discoveries from expeditions there. These were invaluable to anyone planning to explore the Dark Continent. Even within the Navigation Bureau, these were kept under the highest level of secrecy. To access these records, all five leaders needed to agree. But now... hadn't those five leaders already agreed?!

Consequently, all the records of V5's previous expeditions to the Dark Continent were organized and handed to Morin. As Morin emerged from the magma and glanced back at the flowing lava, he couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment. This trip to the Navigation Bureau was truly worthwhile.

Thinking of the various pieces of intelligence and related items about the Dark Continent stored in his Dimensional Pocket, Morin felt a surge of excitement. This trip was truly worth it!! After taking one last look at the volcanic surroundings, Morin tapped his toes and vanished instantly. The Golmodra Volcanoes returned to their usual tranquility, as if nothing had ever happened. Yet, beneath the magma, the events that unfolded were set to change the fate of the entire world.

In the Hunter Association's headquarters office on the Six Continents, Netero sat cross-legged, suspended in the air with one big toe touching the ground. His eyes were closed as if meditating, arms spread wide, holding his body steady. At first glance, one might think he was meditating, inspiring admiration. But if they saw the dodgeball above his head, they might think otherwise.

"Chairman, Mr. Morin has returned." At the door, Mr. Beans knocked, pulling Netero back from his dodgeball game to reality. "Morin returned so quickly? Is he seeking assistance from the Hunter Association?" In 0.01 seconds, Netero swiftly put away the dodgeball and sat at his desk, appearing as a diligent chairman.

Beans: "??????" Chairman, you don't need to pretend; we all know your ways. He internally remarked, then continued, "I'm not sure; he's here to see you."

"To see me? Then let him in," Netero said calmly. Either he was seeking help from the Hunter Association, or he wanted more information, or he planned to make a move on Pariston and the others. Beyond that, there were no other possibilities. As Netero pondered, he saw Morin, clad in a black coat, walk in.

"Sit," Netero gestured, and they both sat at the same tea table as before. "You left just a few days ago and now you're back. Could it be the commission is already completed?" Netero teased, stroking his beard with a smile. However...

"That's right, old man, you truly live up to being the chairman, knowing even this," Morin nodded, genuinely praising Netero, who was caught off guard by the unexpected acknowledgment. "The commission you gave me is completely fulfilled."

Morin produced a stack of film and videotapes. "These are preparations V5 intends to make, including photos, agreements, and meeting videos. I've recorded everything." Morin tapped the table with the back of his fingers, the crisp sound bringing Netero back to focus. "Everything is completely authentic, with no fabrication."

Pouring himself a cup of tea, Morin continued, "If I wanted, I could have initially forged documents, photos, and videos to report back to you."
