Chapter 10 - 9. Lizard's Punishment and Spider-Man's Task

We looked at Lizard as he gulped the the antidote he must have prepared on my instructions.

The needle would have broken because of his scales, so we had to spray it directly into his mouth.

Slowly, the green lizard guy turned back into Dr Connors.

I slapped his face lightly, making him wake up.

"Huh?"

"Awake Dr Connors?"

"Silk and... Spider-Man? What happened? Where are we?"

"Do you remember what you were planning to do?"

He clutched his head, and had a look of realization.

"I was trying to..."

"Yup. Trying to turn the world into ugly lizards. Still want to?"

"No!"

I then looked at his arms. Connors had both.

I took out a gun and pointed it at his head.

"HEY! WHAT ARE YOU-"

"Shut up Spider-Man. Let a professional handle it."

I am not like Spider-Man who wants to have recurring villains.

"You just threatened the entirety of the world with starting a global pandemic. Including the family of many people."

Including my family as well.

I grabbed his arm that had regrown.

"I am now delivering your punishment.

1st. You will confess to your crime to the entire public, and promise to commit suicide if anyone tries to force you into making any sort of serum.

2nd. You will stay away from the S of Science.

3rd. I will break your arm, and you will get a mechanical prosthetic from Stark Industries or whatever, under Spider-Man's watch so that no one can hack your brain or something during the procedure.

4th. If you somehow don't get Death Penalty even after what you were trying to pull, Spider-Man will check up on you every week. If you ever try to pull up something like this ever again, you will die."

Still, I guess I will let Peter being the one in-charge of him. Because as of now, he hasn't killed anyone.

If he becomes a problem again, I will kill him.

Spider-Man sighed in relief as I didn't kill Connors.

"I agree! I agree to everything! I am sorry!"

I removed the gun, and grabbed his arm.

With little effort, I-

"Hey Silk! We shouldn't do this! He has already understood his fault-"

"Would you have said the same thing if he had turned your family into lizards?"

"..."

I gently broke his arm.

"A-mmmmm!"

Oops. I should have webbed up his mouth first.

He was able to let out 'A' of his scream.

"Now, first go to Oscorp and delete everything about your drug. Than do your punishment."

"Mmmm! Mmmm!"

I removed the webbing from his mouth.

Then, Spider-Man grabbed him and we went out of the sewer via a manhole. I also handed the computers to Spider-Man.

"Since you have decided to keep this dangerous person alive, he is your responsibility. Handle all the mess and ensure that he goes through his punishment."

"Alright."

Before I was about to leave, he asked me.

"Hey! Were you telling the truth that time?"

Oh. He must be asking about Gwen's death in his universes.

If it was MJ from the Raimi movies, I wouldn't have done anything even if she fell from the skyscraper. In fact, I might have helped in 'accidentally' dropping her from the height.

But, I don't want Gwen to die. Especially TASM Gwen, which is my favourite.

"Yeah."

"...Then... Hey, how do I contact you?"

"Sorry. I don't have a phone. But... Gimme yours."

He handed me his phone.

Should I give him my number? The one that is in my Nokia without GPS? Well, the location can still be tracked via sim card.

Telegram... I am not sure if it is actually safe, especially in this universe.

Wait... isn't Peter supposed to be one of the world's greatest genius?

I threw his phone back at him.

"If you create a phone for me by which I can remain completely un-tracked, then we can contact. And I will also tell you the details then. Can you do it?"

"I will do it."

"Alright. Then you handle this crazy scientist, and ah!"

I put my hands in my suit's pocket, and created a permanent web.

Then I handed it to him.

"Analyse this for me, to see if there are any dangers if worn directly."

"Sure."

"Then bye! And don't be too depressed thinking about the future!"

Saying that, I left the scene.

I think I gave Spider-Man depression. He wasn't making any jokes.

Still, I can now relax as the two of my biggest problems, a completely private phone and checking the radioactivity of my webs, will now be handled by one of the most genius person in the universe.

Returning home, I first checked my phone. No missed calls from Mom.

Phew!

I took off my suit and shot my dissolving webs at it. It must be disgusting from the sewers.

Hmm, now that Spider-Man is going to take care of some of my biggest headaches, perhaps I should help him out a little?

How about giving him some scholarship? Enough for him to quit from Daily Bugle?

Does he even work there now that Uncle Ben is most likely dead?

Who knows? But I guess a little funding will help him in finishing my tasks as well.

I turned ON my laptop, and found a notification.

Oh. I have passed High School. They are calling me for taking my results.

I guess I just found a perfect excuse.
