In a dark, quiet chamber deep inside the palace, King Edmund sat alone. His crown was on the table beside him. The curtains were drawn. No servants were allowed.

His hands were folded. His eyes were closed.

He was listening.

"Now I feel stronger!!"

The voice echoed loudly in his mind, twisted with excitement.

"The more powerful I become... the more powerful you are, Edmund!!"

A slow, creeping smile grew on Edmund's lips.

"Yes... I know," he said softly.

He opened his eyes.

Cold. Focused. Inhuman.

"Devour more of them," the Celestial whispered.

"Find the talented ones. The mages. The strongest warriors. Absorb them all. We will rise above everyone else."

"Don't worry," Edmund replied calmly, voice steady.

"Every prisoner I catch... will be fed to me."

He leaned back in his chair, hands resting on the armrests.

"Just like Duke Ibzles," he said quietly, eyes gleaming.

"And Viscount Klimbert. Their loyal butlers. Their knights. Their so-called 'resistance'."
