“What else?”

“Sorry?”

“You said I did well. What else did I do?”

Wooheon’s voice was a little softer than before—and that made Yueul smile.

“Well, if you hadn’t stopped me, I probably would’ve kept biting that guy.”

“Oh. Yeah, well... from a male perspective, that would’ve been pretty horrific.”

“Wait, no, not that part!”

Yueul’s face flushed red.

The expressions on the paramedics’ faces hadn’t looked too good when the anthropomorph got loaded into the ambulance either.

They probably felt like their own balls had been torn off.

“...Just kidding.”

Wooheon gave a small smile.

His quiet, low chuckle made Yueul’s lips part slightly in surprise.

‘Is he feeling a little better?’

Yueul studied him carefully.

But the black mamba scales were still visible.

Silence settled in.

Bugs fluttered around the single lightbulb flickering overhead.

The loud, relentless chirping of insects filled the village night.

Wooheon listened for a moment, then closed his eyes.
