Hwayeong’s brow creased in frustration.
Sohwa tilted her head, clearly not following.
Before she could ask, Hwayeong waved it off.
“It’s nothing. Just talking to myself. Go get some rest—I need to head out soon anyway.”
Just the idea of going out this late seemed to fill Hwayeong with energy.
Watching her suddenly light up, Sohwa gave a slow, disbelieving shake of her head.
To be that carefree—so lighthearted—during such a tense time... well, perhaps that was a kind of blessing too.
“The sky’s overcast, so don’t stay out too long. And if you keep sneaking out at dawn like this, someone’s bound to catch on. Be careful.”
She knew from experience—once Hwayeong made up her mind, nothing could stop her. All she could do was leave a few warnings and hope for the best.
As she turned to leave, Hwayeong smiled brightly behind her.
“You’re the only one who ever worries about me.”
With a grin, she added, “We should just live together forever.”
