On her way she calculated how much she had left and realized it was only 50 taels left and decided to put her plan of buying mountain into actions. She walked and arrived at the familiar pharmacy and entered. Walking straight to the counter she was greeted by the same familiar face who recognized her.
He served her tea and went to call his boss who arrived almost immediately with him. Seeing her, he smiled and said their greetings before getting straight to the point.
"I have another herb for you as promised"
"Good..... What did you bring this time?"
She removed the nicely packaged licorice hidden in her basket and gave him. He removed the package and examined the licorice and showed a satisfied smile before saying.
"Good.... good.... good"
After examining it her gave it to the sales boy who went inside with it. He then inquired
"Miss, how many of this do you have?"
"Not many"
"How much do you want to sell it to me"
"Boss give me a fair price"
"Alright. The two licorice I will give you five taels for both"
"Deal"
He fetched the money and gave it to her before the bade good bye. She walked straight to the county entrance and met old man Shao waiting as usual then gave him the fairy tofu she kept for him.
"Here you go grandpa"
"Good girl...How much?"
"Three cent each totalling six cents"
"Ah so expensive. Girl you shouldn't have given it to me for free yesterday"
"It's alright grandpa"
"Alright, here is the money"
After settling the issue she got on the cart and others arrived and they left. In the next three hours they had arrived at the village entrance and everyone got off and went to their house. Su Ying walked further into the village and arrived at her house and went inside. The kids were not home probably at sister Fei's house so was Xiao Shan. She removed the basket and entered her room and flashed into her space to take a bathe.
She had been drinking the spring water and her constitution and physique had improved so she felt like taking another bone marrow cleansing pill after bathing. She changed her clothes and opened the medicine room and went to the shelf and got the bone marrow cleansing pill and took it and then lay beside the spring waiting for it to take effect. As expected the intense pain assaulted her and she trembled on the floor writhing in pain for some time before she blacked out.
Opening her eyes she saw the slimy, smelly black substance her body had expelled then cleaned up and drank the spring water before checking out her reflection. Her lips were pouty, her pointed nose and seemingly glossy black hair with her pores looking open and her almond her looking icy, innocent and seductive. She was like a poppy, dangerous but addictive making one attracted despite the aura.
Su Ying looked at her face which was now fully similar with her face in her past life and felt nostalgic. After staring for a while she went to the black soil and saw that the licorice had grown overnight. This discovery shocked her but she was happy because it meant more supply of goods. She collected the bean and planted it planning to harvest the sprouts to make another food.
After coming out of the space she noticed the kids were not yet back so she went to the backyard to check on the plants. As she had neglected it for a while some weeds had grown so she got the hoe and started weeding. Luckily the weeds weren't much so she finished quickly and then watered them with spring water. To avoid suspicion she planted the bean on the soil too planning to harvest the ones from her space and mixing it together.
After she finished the task she locked the door and headed to sister Fei's house to call the kids. Not too far from the compound she could already hear the shout of the kids as they played around. Smiling, she entered and the kids ran to welcome her and she patted them on the head before asking Shi Duo.
"Is your mother home yet?"
"Yes, auntie Su"
"Alright, you kids continue playing while I go chat with her"
"Okay mom"
"Okay auntie"
They answered and she walked further into the house. Sister Fei was pounding rice at the millstone at their backyard when she saw her, she stood up to chat with her.
"Ying'er you came. I was about to come to your house with the clothes but I was a bit busy"
"It's alright sister Fei"
"Wait let me go inside and get it for you"
"Okay"
Sister Fei went into her room and got the clothes she had folded neatly on the bed and came outside. Handing it over to Su Ying she said.
"Ying'er, check if it's what you wanted so I can make changes if there are any errors"
"Alright"
Su Ying unfolded the cloth and examined it before nodding in satisfaction. The embroidery and sewing was good so was the measurements. Sister Fei was really cut out for clothes and would become a designer If it was the modern Era. She was now truly sure of employing sister Fei once she started her clothing store but for now plans aside.
Taking out the twenty copper coins she came with she stuffed it into sister Fei's hands before she could refuse and then said.
"Sister Fei here is the remaining money for the clothes as promised. Are there any clothes remaining?"
"Yes. Let me get it for you"
"No need. Please use it to make some clothes for Shi Duo and Shi Tuo"
Feeling happy, Sister Fei was almost moved to tears. Su Ying was such a nice person. Winter was approaching and she was worried about what the kids would wear but due to the family situation she couldn't do anything. She had initially planned to patch up the clothes and let them manage it but it seems that wasn't the case anymore. Her children could get new clothes so she felt especially happy.
"Thank you so much Ying'er. My kids have what to wear during winter"
"It's okay Sister Fei. You deserve it for your kindness and willingness to be friends with me after how I treated you before"
Nodding, Qui Fei smiled. After chatting briefly Su Ying took the kids with her and went back home.
