"What… what did you just say?!"
Lyrium blurted, his voice cracking slightly in disbelief.
The girl didn't answer. Instead, she dropped the letter onto his desk and bolted toward the door, her long purple hair streaming behind her as she vanished from the classroom.
"Eh…?"
Lyrium muttered, sitting there frozen, staring at the paper as if it might suddenly explain itself. His jaw dropped, and his mind spun.
Ren, sitting beside him, leaned over and whispered with wide-eyed disbelief,
"Dude… she just asked you out… and ran?! Are you seriously just sitting there?"
Lyrium's hands trembled slightly as he picked up the letter, still staring at it blankly.
"I… I don't even know what to… what the hell is happening?!"
Behind him, Silas let out a soft chuckle, though there was a hint of concern in his eyes. Something about the girl seemed familiar.
"Wait… isn't that the girl who just confessed to you… Maya Alexei?" he asked, voice calm but edged with curiosity.
