Chapter 26: The Comiket- 3

- Silas -
I returned back to the game center after the call and found no signs of Milim.
I asked around but didn't find anything either.
In the end, the staff helped me with the surveillance cameras and I found that she had left with some shady looking guy. Suddenly, I felt a chill run down my spine as a scene flashed in my mind again.
I didn't wait a single moment and left the game center and started looking around for Milim nearby.
I looked around the whole amusement park but didn't find any signs of her.
Did she go out of the amusement park?
With that in mind, I rushed off to search for Milim.
- Sona -
Just what was wrong with today?
First Rias somehow defeats her in a challenge and she has to accompany her in sneaking out while her sister is in a meeting.
They didn't even find the copycat of her sister, the main reason for their outing. At least the performance by Crossroad's band was good.
But then things started becoming weirder. Suddenly, out of the blue, they found themselves becoming minders to a miniature version of Serafall. It still chilled her spine to think that there were more people like her sister out there in the world.
She was around 80 percent sure that her sister was pranking her somehow and that everything till now had been an elaborate prank which Serafall was recording from somewhere… or would have been her thought… if this woman hadn't appeared out of nowhere in front of them.
And now this. Today really wasn't her day. She had come to the human world to get away from the stress in her family and have some peace and quiet… not this.
She looked at the brown haired, glasses-wearing woman flying in the sky in front of them. The most prominent feature about her would be her ten devil wings behind her.
A Satan Descendant.
"I came to this Satan forsaken country to look for the mysterious Lucifer but look what I found here instead? The siblings of the fakes, loitering around in the human world, pretending to be lowly humans? How disgusting." the woman spoke as she looked at them with undisguised disgust.
"Who are you? Why have you stopped us?" Rias went to the front and shouted out loud while Sona checked if she could send any messages to her sister. The communication magic was blocked.
They will have to find a way to distract her so that they can escape the barrier first. That will be quite difficult.
Hopefully, they could cause enough ruckus to attract some attention or her sister and Lord Sirzechs realise they are missing and find them soon. Because Sona knew there was no way they could win this fight.
The woman in front of them was an adult Satan descendant. Sona knew from her studies that all of the descendants of the original Satans were at least Ultimate Class upon maturity. The bloodline of the original Satans was not called the strongest for no reason.
The only way to survive this was to distract her and avoid getting on her wrong side at any cost. She was about to take control of the conversation lest Rias said something which annoyed her when another voice interrupted them.
"Hey, who is this annoying woman? She reminds me of another guy whom I find quite annoying. Can I beat her up?" Milim spoke up and all of them froze.
Sona felt a chill as she watched the woman's face morph from that of disgust to that of pure rage.
"Hahahaha is this how much the names of the original Satans have been desecrated by the fakes that even insolent filth like this dare to insult us?! Very well, let the world be reminded who the rulers of the Underworld are. Let those fakes suffer."
A giant dragon made of water arose from behind her and raced towards them. All four of them erected a barrier but looking at the size of the attack, she doubted the barriers would be able to hold it back.
From the corner of her eyes, she saw Milim walking towards the front of the barriers. "Milim get back!!"
Milim faced the water dragon and took a punching stance. "Milim Punc…."
The scene around her as if slowed down and she could see the massive dragon racing towards the young girl who reminded her of her own sister, their images overlapping with each other for just a moment but before she could move, another water dragon came from behind them and crashed into the first one, destroying each other before they could hit the barrier.
Another one?
"Who?" The brown haired woman looked around in surprise.
She looked back and a guy with black hair landed behind them.
Dressed in a tight dark purple suit with golden stripes, long wrapped sleeves, and a frilled white cravat, a tight body suit worn over it is a black and gold cloak with crimson spandex lining the inside and an enormous black cape encircling the head, with a mask hiding his face, only revealing his eyes and black hair.
But the most surprising parts were the two devil wings on his back.
"SIL!" Milim shouted as she looked back and then raced into the boy.
"Barely on time." She heard the boy whisper as he held Milim in his arms and then flicked her forehead. "Why did you leave the Game Centre?"
"Ah! I was tricked. I was going to beat that guy up but they beat him up first and then we were going to come to the Game place but then we ate crepe and then this meanie stopped and attacked us. Hold on a minute, let me just quickly beat her up."
He flicked her head again and then bowed towards the woman who was eying him cautiously. "I don't know what they have done to offend you but I would like to apologise for them. They are still young, so can you please forgive their mistake and let this matter go? If I can compensate you in any way, I will try to do my best."
"Apologise? Compensate? And how are you going to compensate us, by handing over the thrones which rightfully belong to us? Are you making fun of me?" The woman got angrier instead. Water rose around her, forming multiple water dragons similar to the first one.
The boy looked confused about the statement but still raised both his hands in a pose of surrender ."Look miss, I really don't like fighting. I am sure whatever happened can be solved if we sit down and talk calmly. You are an adult. Please don't let some words get to you." The boy tried to reason politely but the woman was enraged but didn't even pause before sending five of those water dragons, tearing through the surroundings towards them.
- Silas -
Five minutes.
I went to take a call for just five minutes and this happened.
My heart almost jumped to my throat when I saw Milim about to punch. I was not exactly worried about the woman who now clearly appears to be an insane bitch but I was kinda worried about the city and the country and probably half the continent which might accidentally get erased if Milim decided to punch seriously.
As soon as I found out that Milim was missing, I went out to search for her. Finding her wasn't easy either.
To think that of all the instructions I had told her to follow, she had remembered only keeping her aura hidden. If it hadn't been for the sudden appearance of the barrier-like spell which blocked my perception nearby I don't know what would have happened. But at the same time, the barrier also sent a very bad feeling in my guts and I decided not to ignore it, racing here as soon as I could.
If there was any time I had regretted not learning Material Creation more in my life, then it was this.
My attempts to create a helmet to hide my face resulted in nothing but failures and all I could do was create a mask to hide my face to avoid any possible trouble.
And it looks like I was correct to trust my gut…
I looked at the girls with Milim, four girls each looking like they would be high schoolers… except that girl with glasses who looked like she might be a bit younger.
They looked like pretty good girls so… just what in the hell had they done to get this woman so freaking mad?
Anyways, it was no use to worry about this for now. I had much more important things to worry about.
I looked at the water dragons coming towards us and a single thought that came to my head and that was….why?
What is the point of using extra energy to make them shaped like dragons? What was the use of making them so unnecessarily huge to target six people who were just a fraction the size of a single dragon?
Isn't that a wastage of energy? The move I used a moment ago made it clear to me that the shape doesn't exactly provide any kind of mystical power to the attack, so what was the purpose of using such fancy looking moves? And why that roaring sound from the water dragons? What even was the use of that?
To look cool?
What is this, an anime?
Sage and Chef had already allowed me to break down the components of the spell in a single glance. It was a very basic kind of spell with a lot of power behind it. The whole thing had no technique behind it.
This woman was just brute forcing everything. To explain it clearly, she was not only creating water using her Demonic Power instead of using the water in the atmosphere but also pouring extra Demonic Power to mould them into dragon shapes and then go so far as to make them travel in the air, twisting and turning like a real dragon.
Not only did this take exponentially more Demonic Power but it was also slowed due to unnecessary movements of the water dragons.
I looked at the water dragons which had almost reached me and let out a sigh. "Why do I always get caught in these situations whenever I am out of the Restaurant?"
While letting out a sigh of frustration, I controlled the water on the ground and the nearby fountain and compressed it to the utmost limit, shaping it in the shape of a simple blade and slashed them towards the dragons.
My new Unique Skill: Flood, made my water spells over a hundred times stronger. It wasn't even a comparison as the dragons were torn apart from between, breaking the magic controlling them as they fell to the ground in a shower of water.
There was a moment of silence in the whole place. The woman was shocked when her attack was so effortlessly destroyed but in just a moment that shock turned into anger as she looked at me hatefully.
Oi oi, what's with the hate, Lady?
Should I just let myself be hit by those inefficient, slow moving dragons just to soothe your pride? Grow up.
"Look Miss. I have had a very very tiring day today. I really don't want to fight. We really have no reason to continue this any further. So can't you just let it slide today? Whatever problems you have, solve it another day. In fact, if there is something I can do to compensate you for any mistakes of these girls, then I would love to discuss that over some tea… my treat. But please, calm down a bit first. There are a lot of people in the surrounding areas. If we continue this pointless fight… they will get hurt and there will be a mess. It's too troublesome to deal with that. So why don't we both be reasonable adults and take a step back instead?"
She didn't speak and just continued glaring at me… actually screw that, she was even shaking from anger now so things might have just become worse.
I looked back at the girls with Milim. "Okay, what exactly happened to her? Why exactly is she so angry? Was it something you all did or was it Milim? In any case, just apologise and take a step back. No need to continue this fight…"
"We didn't do anything. She was the one who captured us…" The red haired girl started speaking, however her words were interrupted by the woman.
"You….black hair, blue eyes. Water magic. The same condescending tone, looking down on everyone… and that face which reminds me of that traitor who dares proclaim herself with my rightful name. Who are you?"
Oh, come on. Now she is superimposing someone else on me? Get a doctor for your unresolved PTSDs, don't hit random people with giant water dragons.
Actually, did Milim even do something to anger her or did we just encounter a superpowered crazy woman?
Can this day get any worse?
"Hahahaha Sil is my little brother and I am the Onee-chan, Maou Milim Nava. Get beaten up meanie." Milim laughed out loud before making a face at the already incensed woman.
….
Murphy….thou art a heartless bitch.
I closed my eyes and facepalmed.
The woman became quiet for a second and then let out a shriek of anger as dozens of water dragons rose in the air. This time what looked like Magic Circles forming several weapons of magic accompanied them and they were numbered in the hundreds.
It was like a mini tsunami up there. If that hit, it would flood the area. This barrier alone wouldn't help at all. In fact, this area was quite busy and if not for this barrier, there would be even more people. Such an attack would cause too much collateral damage in the area.
Looks like she is really some crazy kidnapper or something. Was she the one who sent that man to bring Milim here? A supernatural kidnapper?
"You know what? I'm done." I whispered, having gotten really tired after the whole fiasco. I turned back and held Milim's hand so that she wouldn't run around anywhere again and whispered softly. "Frost."
The sound behind me stopped instantly.
I faced the girls who had turned stiff, their eyes wide as they looked behind me and bowed lightly. "I'm very thankful to you for helping my sister out today. If we meet again someday, I will treat you all to something good but today I am in a bit of a hurry so I apologise."
And with that said, I took Milim in my arms and flew away.
I wanted to go back to the safety of my Restaurant again. I wanted Lavy's hugs to calm down again.
