Sam's eyes narrowed as he read the message, his thoughts already turning.
'So surrendering means they go back... but if they die, they're dead for real?' he murmured to himself, rubbing his chin. 'But then why did Emily say the survival rate for humans was close to zero?'
Were the people from Earth truly that outmatched?
It was hard to believe, but maybe… maybe the other worlds were simply stronger. More developed. More experienced.
Still, there was a silver lining to it all. If you performed well, you were rewarded. And the better you did, the better the rewards.
