Since Sam had passed the [Forsaken]-rank threshold, it quickly became clear that he could no longer use his affinities to grant him a reward twice per rank, leaving him with only a single reward moving forward.
He had never truly expected something like this to happen, because from the very moment he arrived in this world, it felt like one of those fundamental rules that simply could not be changed.
Many things could and undoubtedly would change in the future as he continued to grow stronger, adapt, and push forward, but this particular limitation left him wondering why it had to be this rule.

"So I guess they also could only get a reward once per rank," Sam muttered, his tone calm but carrying a hint of frustration beneath the surface.
