The destruction of Magnolia had major consequences for both the future of Venzia and the world.

Among them were, of course, Dante, Ryuji, and Roger. Which meant that, in reality, only 133 people survived the explosion.
Unfortunately, none of Dante and the others' acquaintances were among the survivors.
Over time, Ryuji and Roger accepted that they would never find any of their family and friends… that they would never return.
Ryuji couldn't bear the loneliness and pain. Two months later… he took his own life.
Roger died of natural causes, but Dante was sure he died of grief. After losing his entire family and living through the event firsthand, Roger's spirit had been crushed.
Slowly, his health deteriorated until he passed away, leaving Dante in a world where society was growing worse and worse.
