Tanin sighed in relief as she and Leila finished sweeping the study for a third time, finding no more hidden cameras. She leaned against the desk, pressing her fingers against her temple.
"At least that's done," she muttered, but her heart still pounded. The idea of someone spying on Damian—and potentially herself—was unsettling.
Leila sat down on the leather chair and opened her laptop, her expression serious. "Now, about what I wanted to show you." She typed in a few commands before turning the screen toward Tanin. "This was sent to Damian's laptop anonymously. It's worse than we thought."
Tanin hesitated before looking at the screen, but when she did, her stomach turned. The video displayed a horrifying scene—a dark, dingy warehouse where young girls, boys, and even pregnant women were being auctioned off like cattle. Their faces were etched with fear, their bodies bruised and battered. Some clung to each other, while others sat in eerie silence, their eyes empty.
