Chapter 31 - To the orc village 5

[Wake up]

The system's graphic interface popped out of nowhere.

[Wake up weakling…]

"You don't get to call me that mister.", Harry said slowly to emphasize his annoyance.

[You don't get to choose what you want..]

[Follow what I tell you and you won't be weak again..]

This time though Harry took his time to think about what the system had told him before answering politely. "Then the ball is in your court then. Do not fail me.", he said with a firm resolve which couldn't be easily broken by the pain and torture he was going through in this world.

"Where are we now? The last I remember…"he tried his best to remember everything that had happened to him since he entered this world.

"Oh God, that psycho! What did I do to deserve that beating he gave me?"

[Are your memories coming back?]

"Yeah I guess so. They are worst than what I imagined they would be. How could that orc do that to me."

[What actually happened…]

Some few days ago

"Do you want play hide-and-seek?", the masculine voice of the orc ringed in Harry's ear.

"Huh, do they play hide and seek in these areas? What kind of twisted and deranged version of the game is there going to be in this God forsaken place?", he asked him while trying his best to stay calm.

"You don't have to stand there like that. Run and I will come and look for you. If I catch you then it's game over.", it said slowly with an unparalleled killing intent which scared Harry to his bone.

Understanding the situation he was in with all of his mind, he decided to do the needful. He created as much distance as he could between himself and the orc.

The orc looked at him with contempt and started to laugh hysterically. This was because it knew well that no matter the kind of distance Harry created it would still catch up to him within some mere seconds.

"Hey, you can run as much as you want! I will only count to ten and then you will know what happens later on!", the orc muttered in between giggles with its otherworldly voice.

"You are despicable!", Harry shouted while trying his best to create as much distance as he could between himself and the orc.

His heart thumped loudly in his chest and his eardrums seem like they were going to bust out at any point in time. Harry dashed through the outskirts of the village. The outskirts was nothing compared to the actual village. It was full of dilapidated mud houses that seem to have been left to rot for some centuries now.

After some minutes of endless run, he decided to enter into one of the mud houses and take shelter there for some time. The one he had entered was of a better shape than the rest he had seen on his way.

Though these buildings were somewhat outdated, one could notice that they still had no cracks around them. This was to show that they were indestructible to the least.

"That explains why they still remain after such a long period of time. I don't know how many years it has been though but I can tell that these houses have seen better days", Harry said to himself.

[Time and space in this world is much different from yours..]

The system declared.

"How?", Harry asked confused.

[It is something like this, a day here might be two days, four days even a month on Earth.]

It tried to explain.

"How's that even possible?", he asked for further information.

[Do I have to spoon feed you with everything?]

"Hey, hey, Hey, now that's the attitude I was waiting to see. It's your work to give all the information I need about this world, dumbass."

[What if I do not give it to you then. What will you do?]

The system replied almost instantly.

"Who created this dummy? Are you broken? Tell me, I promise not to tell anyone?", Harry asked mockingly.

[You can' not get in my head because I do not have one, sire]

"Very funny, I think I like you. Your jokes are very funny. Finally I can see some significance in you."

[Are you trying to hurt my feelings? Fool, I do not have one. I'm a computer system for crying out loud]

"Oh, so now you don't have feelings but you are slowly getting annoyed. That's hilarious!", Harry backfired wisely.

Drifting away from the conversation he was having, Harry scanned his surrounding to see if there was anything he could protect himself with.

The house he had entered lacked furniture and all the necessities needed for life to be preserved. There were no chairs, tables not even knives for him to protect himself with. Harry felt the need to hide and decided to do so in one of the spacious rooms in the houses.

To his surprise though, one room still had a bed. Although one couldn't call it a bed in its current state, it was what it looked like.

He decided to enjoy the comfort of the bed before his captor comes to look for him. He sprawled his body on top of the old and dilapidated bed. It creaked and screeched as his body toppled into it slowly.

"How many days has it been since I got an opportunity like this. Sleep is now a luxury we all can't afford in this place."

[What do you think you are doing?]

The system interrupted his moment of solace.

"What does it look like I'm doing", he replied coldly without opening his eyes.

[You have got an orc on your tail and you are sleeping. Are you this dumb?]

"Rest is needed at this moment because I know that it will catch me no matter what I do. I might as well enjoy this moment as it lasts.", he replied.

[Who gave me this host?]

"Ask that same person to come and take you away from me because I'm sick and tired of being intertwined with you."

[It is funny how you speak. Without me you would have already been killed a long time ago!]

"Are you still telling me that you don't have feelings and emotions? You are literally fuming at the moment.", he said while smiling.

[I do not care about what it is that you are talking about…] The system finally blurted out.

"Oh little one! Where are you!", the otherworldly masculine voice resounded throughout the entire house. This had caused Harry to tremble a little causing the banged up bed to come undone.

"See because of you I couldn't even sleep before it's arrival!", he shouted at the system while trying his best to escape the crumbling bed.
