The Southern Light Guardian burned…
And it burned significantly worse than the Northern Light Guardian ever could have. The big difference in the adjacent element was the exact reason Ren had selected the southern target.
The Light Dragon in the north, positioned adjacent to a fire territory, possessed a much more ethereal, illusory physiology. Its body lacked dense physical mass, meaning it was a bit more slippery to the touch and external matter struggled to stick to its mana scales.
The Southern Light Guardian operated on a completely different physical spectrum due to its adjacency to the water territories. That geographical influence made this specific dragon far more grounded, solid, and tangible.
