Cass bitterly sat drinking tea with Lady Ava and Vespertine like this was the most normal thing in the world.
As if they were always having these kinds of tea parties. As if this was completely normal, and not the strangest grouping anyone had ever seen. Vespertine seemed to be the one enjoying himself the most. He was pleased as punch, especially as Cass drank the tea and didn't throw a fit. He was sure that Sam had checked on it, as he was known to do, and it wouldn't have come close to him if he had thought it unsafe.
