Chapter 359: Di Tian's Injuries
After their discussion, everyone in the academy was left with a renewed respect for Yang Potian's formidable power, which deterred anyone from harboring ulterior motives. Just as they were about to disperse, Yang Potian asked Ning Fengzhi, Sword Douluo, and Bone Douluo to stay behind.
These three had been instrumental in the recent battle. Sword Douluo had fought throughout, heavily injuring Tang San and Bear Lord, thus solidifying his commitment to Tianxing Academy. Ning Fengzhi had provided crucial support with his powerful buffs and adept control over the battlefield, proving his value, especially given the academy's current shortage of top-tier combatants.
Aware of his summons, Ning Fengzhi assumed there was more to do and quickly offered, "Mr. Yang, if there's anything further required of us, rest assured that as members of Tianxing Academy, we are prepared to do whatever it takes for the academy's benefit."
Yang Potian shook his head. "No need, Ning Fengzhi. You've already contributed greatly to Tianxing Academy. I simply wish to express my gratitude."
With that, he presented a jade box, which floated over to Ning Fengzhi. Inside was a magnificent tulip radiating an aura of pure elegance. One look, and they could tell it was extraordinary.
"This," Yang Potian explained, "is a Qiluo Tulip, a rare celestial herb and a true treasure of the soul master world."
Ning Fengzhi, though familiar with many treasures, didn't grasp the full weight of this gift until Yang Potian continued, "This celestial herb, as a condensed source of heaven and earth's energy, can greatly enhance both spirit masters and their martial spirits. For the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda, this tulip can advance it to an Eight Treasure or even a Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda."
The three were astonished. Generations of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan had dreamed of advancing their martial spirit, and now, with this herb, Ning Fengzhi held the key to making that dream a reality. His hands trembled as he clutched the box, his eyes blazing with excitement before he quickly composed himself.
"Mr. Yang, this treasure is too precious. I don't know if I'm worthy of accepting it."
Yang Potian shook his head. "This herb is ideal for the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda, and your contributions to the academy merit it. Take it."
Unable to resist the allure of the tulip, Ning Fengzhi accepted it, his gaze filled with gratitude. "Thank you, Mr. Yang. I pledge myself entirely to Tianxing Academy's success."
Yang Potian nodded. "Use it wisely, Ning Fengzhi. I only have one Qiluo Tulip, so it's up to you how it's ultimately used."
Then, he produced two more jade boxes, which he handed to Sword Douluo and Bone Douluo. "Sword Douluo, Bone Douluo, these contain the Ten-Thousand-Year Ginseng King and the Ten-Thousand-Year Heavenly Angel Herb. These should help restore your bodies to peak condition and allow for further advancement."
The two Douluo accepted the gifts gratefully, acknowledging the significance of such invaluable herbs.
Lastly, Yang Potian placed the Shura Demon Sword into the ground. "Sword Douluo, this is the Shura Demon Sword, an ultimate divine weapon. You may study it here for a month. It may give you insights that could further your path in swordsmanship, and perhaps even help you break through once more."
Sword Douluo stared at the sword, mesmerized by its blood-red aura, a look of intense longing in his eyes. Yang Potian didn't disturb him, turning to leave them in contemplation.
Giving Ning Fengzhi the Qiluo Tulip had taken careful thought. Despite their contributions, he felt that the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan members didn't yet fully integrate into Tianxing Academy. Unlike his own family, who followed his direction without question, they needed some additional motivation to truly make them a part of the academy's core.
After leaving the conference room, Yang Potian went directly to Ye Lingling's quarters. In the recent battle, her healing had been indispensable, keeping his grandfather and uncle from serious injury.
Meanwhile, deep in the heart of the Star Dou Forest, Di Tian returned with Bear Lord and a heavily injured Tang San. Collapsing, Di Tian coughed up blood, his abdomen bearing a severe sword wound. Even his dragon claws were marked with dark, unhealable cuts—remnants of the Shura God's power.
Bi Ji immediately enveloped him in healing light, causing his wounds to gradually close, though it took an entire day for Di Tian's condition to stabilize. Fully recovering his strength, however, would require a long time.
Bear Lord, subdued, also quietly accepted healing from Bi Ji's green light.
Bi Ji voiced her frustration, "Di Tian, who injured you so badly? Does he not fear the wrath of a soul beast uprising?"
Di Tian clenched his teeth against his fury. "This Yang Potian is both powerful and ruthless. His physical strength rivals my own. I advise all of you to be on guard. Facing him unprepared could easily end in death, and I may not be able to save you in time."
A tense silence followed his words, before Bi Ji hesitantly asked, "Di Tian, what should we do with the human you brought back?"
After a moment's thought, Di Tian replied, "Heal him. Once his injuries are stable, I'll send him out of the forest."
Privately, Di Tian's attitude toward Tang San had grown indifferent. Tang San's ruthless and destructive behavior had led him to slaughter many high-level spirit beasts, and Di Tian saw little future benefit in him for the Star Dou Forest.
If Tang San weren't connected to his master's thousand-year plans, Di Tian would never have compromised so far. In his eyes, Tang San showed no potential to ascend to godhood.
But Bear Lord, still bitter from the encounter, muttered, "Di Tian, we both suffered from this. Why don't we just unleash a beast tide and wipe out Tianxing Academy?"
Di Tian shook his head. "While Yang Potian didn't pursue us, his strength is greater than mine. And with that divine weapon in his possession, it's unlikely that even a large-scale attack would succeed. It could end in disastrous losses for our kind."
