Chapter 392: One After Another
Bibi Dong sneered, "You pitiful dragon. You've been hiding for so long, afraid to show yourself, and now you emerge at a moment like this? There must be something you fear in this world."
The Silver Dragon King's face turned cold. "With my strength, what in this world could I possibly fear?"
Bibi Dong replied coolly, "No matter how many times we hunted 100,000-year spirit beasts in the Star Dou Forest, or when we surrounded Tang San at Tianxing Academy, you never dared to appear. The only thing that holds you back must be Yang Potian, or rather, the Asura Demon Sword he wields and the one behind it."
The Silver Dragon King bristled with rage. "Enough! You two may have just ascended to godhood, but you dare to talk so brazenly in front of me. Do you truly think I'm incapable of killing you?"
She sneered, "That little sword? As if it could ever pose a threat to me. Whether it's the Asura Demon Sword or the Asura God himself, I'll settle the old score with them one day."
Bibi Dong laughed. "As a member of the spirit beast race, instead of strengthening yourself and nurturing your kin, you stake your future on someone like Tang San. No wonder the spirit beasts are in decline."
"This war has bled your forces dry. The spirit beast race will be a shadow of its former self. From now on, the days of your strength are over."
The Silver Dragon King's face twisted with anger. "Bold words, Empress. While my race has indeed suffered losses, your Wuhun Empire won't fare much better. With so many of your elites fallen, your empire may never rise to dominance again."
Bibi Dong chuckled. "The Wuhun Empire represents humanity itself. Not only do we have countless spirit masters, but also millions of soldiers. Even if we face a temporary setback, it would take only a few decades for us to recover. But your spirit beast race? You grow slowly. It's doubtful you'll ever rise again."
The Silver Dragon King's calm demeanor cracked. Her attacks became fierce, her eyes blazing with anger as though her pride had been stripped away.
The divine battle raged on, filling the sky with their clashing powers. Waves of divine energy threatened to tear the heavens apart, and even the earth trembled under their might.
Inside the sphere of dark energy, Tang San's entire body was undergoing a radical transformation as the malevolent power spread through him. His spirit and soul were warped by the evil energy, transforming as he relived the torment of his deepest emotions, much like his original Sea God trial—but this time, it seemed he was slowly succumbing.
In the trial of love, he could see only Xiao Wu, willing to sacrifice anything, braving any opponent, uncaring of consequences, driven solely by love and protection for her.
During the trial of hatred, he returned to the horrors of Haotian Sect's destruction, reliving his family's murder. His eyes blazed with a hatred that seemed boundless, his aura taking on the semblance of a demon.
In the trial of desire, he was back to the peak of the Tang Sect, bearing the weight of leadership, recalling his coronation as a prince of the Heaven Dou Empire. He envisioned godhood itself, reigning eternally over the Douluo Continent, revered and worshiped, with his every word treated as law.
As Tang San sank deeper into these emotions, the black tiger mark on his forehead emitted a thunderous roar, shocking him back into awareness. Yet his clarity was twisted by an unsettling darkness, leaving him with an expression both lucid and sinister.
His massive Clear Sky Hammer was also affected by the dark energy from the tiger mark. Already formidable with the power of 100,000-year spirit rings, it now turned pitch-black, emanating a malevolent aura.
In the Divine Realm, the gods observed Tang San's transformation intently. Though three deities had already appeared on the Douluo Continent, the fate of the realm still rested on Yang Potian and Tang San, who both hovered at the threshold of godhood.
Asura God's eyes narrowed as he noticed the black tiger on Tang San's forehead. "Evil, what is the meaning of this? How much divine power have you poured into Tang San? It seems that dark mark of yours contains an endless reservoir of wicked energy."
The Evil God King laughed coolly. "Don't be so quick to judge. I merely left half a divine inheritance for him. It was all arranged ages ago; recently, I haven't done a thing."
Asura God looked unconvinced. "You've clearly invested greatly in Tang San. It seems you're determined to see him ascend."
The Evil God King replied evenly, "This is all for the good of the Divine Realm, for our future. With Tang San leading, I'm confident he'll unify the Douluo Continent, paving the way for our plans."
The Kind God King interjected, "Evil, you're obsessed. I fear that this path will end in ruin—even for you."
The Evil God King looked incredulous. "Kindness, don't you understand my intentions? Everything I'm doing is to pass down our legacies and to prepare for any impending disaster that may threaten us."
The others fell silent. His words were the very reason they'd tolerated his schemes so far. Each of them sought a path forward, for themselves and for their successors.
Asura God resumed, "Evil, you may place high hopes on Tang San, but we must not forget our true objective. Compared to him, even Yang Ping'an holds less importance."
On the Douluo Continent, near Wuhun City, Tang San's aura grew ever stronger. The black sphere surrounding him cracked, as if he were a butterfly emerging from a cocoon.
Slowly, he emerged from the shattered sphere, radiating an intense, blinding light. Yet something was off. Tang San's face looked twisted, bearing a terrifying expression that resembled a demon rather than a god.
His Clear Sky Hammer was now fully transformed, emitting a tremendous divine power. Under the influence of the dark energy, it had evolved into an artifact of pure malevolence.
