Lucius finally noticed the unmistakable sheen on Braxton's carrot wand. It was unmistakable. It wasn't like the other Mithril Relic wands with rusted handles of broken-off tips. This was a Mithril Artifact in its purest conditions, only seen in the weapons wielded by Michael and his company.
"That's… that's… that's a Mithril Artifact!" he exclaimed. "He gave that to you?!"
"Yep! That's my bestie!" bragged Braxton as he waved his new wand around.
Michael still felt bad about getting Braxton in trouble, so he quickly tried to apologize on his behalf.
"Hey, I'll return the books," he said. "I'm just about finished reading them anyway—"
But before he could even finish his sentence, Lucius suddenly grabbed his shoulders and looked at him with intense desperation.
"Do you need more? I can get you more. I'll ransack the entire Guild of Arcana for you!" Lucius declared.
