In a land where Six divine races co-exist with the ordinary mortal humans, wars are bound to happen but none were as devastating as this one.
Princess General Alyssa Lux Eryndal of Umbrian Kingdom of Nyxaria had a worried look on her face. The entire war camp was just as tensed as her.
"Your Highness, we must remain calm. After all a careless move can cause us to lose everything...." said Hikan, one of the princess' personal five knights.
"I know, I know but those Augustrians are really pushing us!!" replies Alyssa.
Just then, a solder arrives,
"Your Highness!!, we're under attack!! The Augustrians have come!"
"..... So they've made their move at last? Then show them no mercy! ATTACK!!" says Alyssa.
All the Nyxarian troops follow and begin attacking the Augustrian army. Alyssa and Hikan hurry to the centre to reach the commander of the army, The first prince of the Amarian Kingdom of Augustria - Syrus Sol Krakos.
"Eldest Prince of Augustria!! Your army will fall right here! You will never enter the Nyxarian Capital" said Alyssa in a weak yet powerful voice.
Syrus just smiled. He didn't seem to worry about anything. Alyssa felt weak. She coughed up blood. It was as if someone stabbed her. She turned around. There was Hikan piercing her heart using a sword. Alyssa just cried.
"Why...Why would you this to me?!….. Why would you do this to Nyxaria???!!...." Alyssa collapsed .
She had died.
"Hikan Wisterius.... If I can live once more, I'll surely have revenge.."
"Oh mighty deity of Shadow! The ancestor of all Umbrians! Goddess Nemesis!"
"I.... Just want to live. Live so ..that I can ...have my revenge!!"
Alyssa felt as if someone had just hit her. She opened her eyes and saw an old lady hitting her with a broom.
"Your family had sold you here for merely 10 coins. How dare you just slack off like that? Just because your father is the grand duke and your brother is a great general you think you can slack of arrogantly?? You killed your mother during birth and then you attempted to kill your stepmother!!"
Alyssa had just transmigrated into someone's body!!
Alyssa suddenly feels a flush of memories. She had transmigrated into the body of Matilda Zevarin. Matilda was the illegitimate daughter of Grand Duke Cedric Zevarin from the Valerian Kingdom of Argentia. However, Matilda was not completely Valerian as her mother was from the Kharzian race. This caused people to view Matilda as a jynx, eventually leading to her stepmother kicking her out.
Alyssa wonders on what to do as Matilda. She knows that she cannot return to Nyxaria as Matilda rather she must build allies and only then she can reunite with Hikan and Syrus on the battlefield. Thus, she has a long journey ahead of her.
