It was a dark room, the only source of light was Abrielle. She stood glaring at him. Her eyes accused him. "You said you wouldn't hurt me.. people don't kill those they love. " Her sharp words shot at him, opening up the wound in his heart.
His lips parted searching for words to defend himself but nothing came out. What could he possibly say to defend himself? He failed her. His hand clenched so hard, blood was dripping to the floor.
