Chapter 337 - Army Push

"Masa-dono!!"

Seeing Xin continue to approach, while Masa stood motionless like a puppet, the remaining Sand shinobi shouted in desperation. Some even rushed forward, hoping to snap

Masa out of his trance.

They knew that Masa had fallen into Xin's genjutsu.

But Xin wasn't going to give them any chance.

With a swift motion, his blade flashed through the night, and Masa's head was sent flying, landing several meters away. Blood gushed from the now headless body, spurting like a fountain.

And with that, all three of the Sand Village's lead jonin were dead.

"Ahh!!"

The Sand shinobi who had rushed forward saw a flash before their throats were slit by Xin's blade. With a choked cry, they fell to the ground, clutching their wounds.

"He's a demon! A demon!!"

As Xin stood in the pouring rain, his clothes soaked through with a mix of blood and water, the remaining Sand shinobi could feel their will to fight slipping away. The sight of him, drenched in blood, was too much. They turned and ran, screaming in terror.

If there had still been a jōnin to lead them, they might have found the courage to continue the fight, even with their fear of Xin. But with Masa's death, their mental defenses had shattered. Abandoning their weapons, they fled, no longer concerned with their mission or duty. All they wanted was to escape this terrifying place, to get away from the silver-haired demon.

"Kill them!!"

"Finish them off!!!"

Without Xin needing to give any orders, the remaining Konoha shinobi shouted as they charged after the fleeing enemies. It was the perfect time to strike-the Sand shinobi were scattered and broken, making them easy prey.

As Xin planted his sword in the ground, he took a deep breath, letting the rain wash the blood off his body. Watching the red-tinted water drip down, he shook his head and muttered to himself, "I really need to stop slitting throats so often. It's way too messy."

While stabbing the heart or other vital organs could be effective, there was something about a clean cut to the throat that made it the fastest and most efficient way to kill in battle. A single stroke severing the throat and carotid artery would almost always result in death unless immediate medical attention was provided-and even then, it would require a highly skilled medic-nin.

But the downside was the blood. It sprayed everywhere.

Xin didn't join in the pursuit of the fleeing enemies. He was tired. Leading a group of shinobi, driving the enemy into a rout-it had taken its toll on even someone with his stamina and chakra reserves.
