The Uchiha seemed to understand immediately and said, "I remember hearing the old clan leader say that the Senju did indeed marry many Uzumaki women. The two clans intermarried frequently."
Upon hearing of reinforcements, Jiraiya emerged from the command center.
He waved at Shinku and the others, then approached Xin, Minato, and Nawaki, hearing their laughter as he approached.
"What's so funny? Let me in on the joke," Jiraiya said.
"Nothing funny at all!" Nawaki almost swore.
He was about to complain to Jiraiya about Xin's nonsense, but when he saw Jiraiya's mischievous grin, Nawaki's eyes lit up with an idea.
"Earlier, when we arrived on the island, I saw someone swimming in the sea. I said it was a woman, but they didn't believe me!"
"Their skin was so fair, it had to be a woman!" Nawaki added.
You little devil.
Xin suppressed a laugh, coughing as he replied, "Just because someone has fair skin doesn't make them a woman. What about Minato, then?"
"Shut up!"
Minato, half laughing and half exasperated, retorted, "Get lost, man! Why don't you talk about yourself?"
Fair skin equals a woman? What kind of nonsense logic was that?
Someone swimming, fair skin, probably a girl?
Jiraiya seemed to automatically filter out the rest of what was said; his eyes had already begun to wander dreamily.
"Alright, enough bickering. You all wait for me at the command center. Minato, make sure to entertain the other seniors. I'll grab something real quick and be back soon."
Teacher, Nawaki is tricking you!
Minato wanted to cover his face and pretend he didn't know Jiraiya.
How desperate must you be that just hearing about someone bathing-and possibly being a girl-made you lose control like this?
Is it really that serious?
Not wanting to see his teacher embarrass himself, Minato quickly tried to signal Jiraiya, but the latter, his heart racing with excitement, didn't notice at all.
After instructing Minato, Jiraiya dashed away, heading straight for the port at lightning speed.
Since there was a bit of distance between them, Yūhi Shinku and the others hadn't heard what Nawaki said.
Seeing Jiraiya take off toward the port, Shinku couldn't help but ask, "Lord Jiraiya, what's he up to?"
Xin replied with a straight face, "He heard Nawaki say there was someone with fair skin bathing at the port-looked like a girl-so he rushed over to see if it really was a girl."
"...."
Shinku felt his intelligence had just been insulted, but no matter how absurd it sounded,
Jiraiya had actually believed it.
He really had gone to the port.
"Nawaki, you liar!"
