The sound rang sharply enough to make one of Egin's eyes twitch faintly in restrained anger.

Yet surprisingly, he did not erupt, and the heat that had previously accompanied his temper did not rise again.

Instead, he exhaled slowly, and almost theatrically, as though he had resigned himself to the situation.

The gentle smile returned to his face, though now it carried a hint of wry understanding.

"Ahh," he said lightly, inclining his head slightly, "then I apologize for my choice of words."

He folded his hands behind his back in a posture befitting a dignified elder rather than an outraged warrior.

"As the Crimson Elder, it is both my responsibility and my right to understand the cause of such an enormous and chaotic event occurring at a location as sensitive as this.

The Sanctum is not merely a sacred institution, but it is also a symbol."

His thunderous eyes shifted briefly between Altheria and Nyx.
