After getting off the ship, Buggy didn't try to hide his whereabouts. Instead, he swaggered towards a different area of Sabaody Archipelago.
This was Buggy's strategy of drawing the enemy out and then trapping them. In a place like this, with so many people around, even with his Observation Haki, Buggy couldn't tell who was an enemy. Leaving like this would draw out a group of people secretly watching them. This would also lower the guard of the remaining surveillance personnel. Once they knew that Buggy and his crew had left, someone would follow them to keep an eye on them. The remaining surveillance personnel wouldn't think that Buggy would return to cause trouble for them. Once they kept following the Glory, Buggy could quickly identify these people when he returned. When the time was right, Buggy and his crew could trap them.
Reality played out as Buggy expected. As Buggy and his crew walked towards a different area of Sabaody, several figures followed them from different directions.
Buggy walked for a while and naturally discovered these figures. His Observation Haki was constantly observing them.
Buggy went directly towards a nearby area with fewer people. He couldn't waste too much time on these people. He had to deal with them quickly. Of course, he couldn't do it in a crowded place before dealing with them.
Soon, Buggy and his crew came to a secluded place. This was a garbage dump on Sabaody Archipelago. Few people ever came here. Buggy walked directly into the garbage dump. After walking for a while, Buggy instantly disappeared. Then, one after another, screams rang out in the garbage dump. Soon, the tails following Buggy and his crew were completely dealt with by Buggy.
"Let's go back."
After dealing with these people, Buggy went straight back to the Glory.
The Glory started up shortly after Buggy left, slowly sailing along the coastline. This was to prevent the Marines from immediately taking action against the Glory.
If the Glory sailed towards the sea, it might soon face attacks from Sakazuki and Borsalino. Doing this was also to let them know that the Glory wasn't trying to leave Sabaody.
News of Buggy and his crew's whereabouts quickly reached Sakazuki. When he learned that Buggy had gotten off the ship and the Glory had started sailing, he thought that they were trying to escape. But then he thought that they were still on Sabaody Archipelago and the ship wasn't heading towards the sea. He abandoned this thought. He didn't immediately order his men to capture Buggy. Instead, he instructed the spies to continue watching Buggy and his crew and the Glory. He also told them to immediately notify him if the Glory set sail.
With Borsalino there, Sakazuki wasn't worried about Buggy and his crew escaping. Even if they escaped to sea, he was confident that he could catch up. And since the Admiral hadn't arrived yet, he couldn't act immediately. This matter had to be handled by a figure at the Admiral level.
After dealing with the spies behind them, Buggy and his crew immediately sped up and quickly caught up to the Glory. This time, the three of them acted separately. Lafitte was in the air, and Weevil kept a certain distance from Buggy. This was to expand the search range and avoid any fish slipping through the net.
Soon, Buggy had a breakthrough. In different places, several similar people were constantly following the Glory. Buggy confirmed that these people were the last spies responsible for monitoring them.
This time, the Glory was going to a very secluded valley area. This was a place recommended by a ship coater. It was not only secluded but also close to the coast. There was also a valley that could conceal their ship's whereabouts.
As the population became thinner and they got closer to the place, Buggy and his crew began to act. First, Lafitte flew down from the air and directly dealt with a spy in a small forest. Buggy and Weevil disappeared, launching attacks on the enemies near them. Soon, under the attacks of the three, the spies tracking them were all eliminated.
After dealing with these people, Buggy and the other three flew onto the Glory and reunited with the crew on board.
They didn't rush to start acting separately. Instead, they rested on the Glory for a night. There was no need to rush now. Buggy guessed that Sakazuki and the others wouldn't immediately notice that the spies had disappeared. They might notice the anomaly tomorrow. To prepare for the possible battle tomorrow, they should sleep soundly tonight and recharge.
The night passed quickly. At the Sabaody Archipelago Marine Base, Sakazuki was in his office, his brow furrowed. He looked at the Den Den Mushi on his desk. He realized that things were heading in a bad direction. Buggy and his crew might have noticed something and were really escaping.
Sakazuki was so anxious because he couldn't contact the spies. The spies hadn't reported back to him about Buggy and his crew. Sakazuki guessed that they might have been dealt with by Buggy and his crew. And their previous actions were probably to escape.
As Sakazuki was anxiously waiting, a knock on the door sounded urgently.
"Come in. How's the investigation going? What's the situation with the spies?"
Hearing the knock, Sakazuki knew that the people he had sent must have learned about the situation of the spies.
"Vice Admiral Sakazuki, our people found some of the spies' bodies in the garbage dump in area 40 this morning. And we also found some of the other spies' bodies in other areas."
"What? They're all dead? Damn it. Do you have any news about Buggy and his crew? Did they run away? Didn't the guys on the sea stop them? Why haven't they sent any information?"
Hearing that all the spies were dead, Sakazuki felt as if flames were erupting from his body. He was furious. He also wondered if Buggy and his crew had already escaped. And whether the Marines he had stationed at sea had discovered Buggy's crew's whereabouts.
"Vice Admiral Sakazuki, we have indeed discovered Buggy and his crew's whereabouts. But they're not at sea. The soldiers at sea haven't reported any information about Buggy and his crew."
Hearing that they had discovered Buggy's crew's whereabouts, Sakazuki's gloomy expression eased a bit. When he heard that Buggy wasn't at sea, he was stunned for a moment and fell into thought.
"Where are they now? What are they doing?"
The information his subordinates reported wasn't enough for Sakazuki to analyze what Buggy was doing. He wanted to know more information about Buggy and his crew.
"Vice Admiral Sakazuki, most of the Red-Haired Pirates are now on Sabaody Archipelago. And they've split up. Some of them are hanging out in area 20 with Buggy. Others are hanging out in area 25. The rest are unaccounted for."
After saying this, the subordinate who was reporting the situation looked a little confused. He didn't understand why Buggy and his crew weren't running. And why, knowing that the Marines had discovered them, they were still hanging out separately on Sabaody Archipelago. They had a chance to escape. Why did they give up such a good opportunity?
