Chapter 226 - Chapter 227: Logia - Storm-Storm Fruit

As the first light of dawn broke over the capital of Lenske, Dragon, who had been resting, suddenly opened his eyes. Stepping out of his tent, he looked up at the sky.

Against the backdrop of the rising sun, he caught sight of a massive figure fading into the distance, slowly disappearing from Lenske.

Only then did the ground beneath his feet begin to tremble. Moments later, Morley and a few others emerged from underground.

Jack glanced at the figure wrapped up like a mummy and asked in a low voice,

"So, this thing is Enel?"

"What happened to him? Did his lightning go out of control?"

"Did he electrocute himself?"

"Quit joking around, Jack!"

King, standing nearby, cast a glance at the restrained Belo Betty, who was being held down by Yamato. He spoke calmly,

"Belo Betty, Eastern Army Commander of the Revolutionary Army… a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit user with the ability of the Pump-Pump Fruit."

Jack grinned. "Looks like you caught a big one, King."

"With her here, the Revolutionary Army isn't going anywhere."

King, however, remained silent, his gaze shifting to the blood seeping through the bandages on his shoulder.

Jack frowned. "Who did this? Was it Dragon?"

"Is he really that strong?"

"Hmph," King scoffed. "He's the leader of the Revolutionary Army. Of course, he's strong. I was just careless for a moment, that's all."

Jack smirked. "Careless? More like you're losing your edge."

"Shut up."

"Relax, King," Jack chuckled. "Just rest for now. Leave it to me—I'll take revenge for you."

"You're getting old. Let us young ones handle the fighting from now on!"

"Shut your mouth!"

Watching Jack walk away, King couldn't help but shout after him,

"Be careful. Dragon's Haki is no joke!"

Inside the city, thousands of pirates erupted into cheers when they saw Jack. It was thanks to them that Lenske hadn't fallen to the Revolutionary Army, and Jack made sure to acknowledge their efforts.

Hearing the celebratory roars echoing from within the city, Dragon led his officers to the gates.

With a deep rumble, the towering gates slowly creaked open.

Emerging from within was the colossal figure of Jack.

Thanks to his habit of playing basketball during his younger years, Jack had grown to an astonishing height of nine meters. Unlike some pirates with freakishly proportioned limbs, his physique was well-balanced, giving him an imposing presence. His long golden hair flowed freely in the wind, complementing his massive, chiseled frame. Even Dragon had to admit—Jack's sheer presence was overwhelming.

Truly, he lived up to the title of the strongest Fish-Man.

But the moment Jack opened his mouth, Dragon's expression darkened.

Jack barely spared him a glance before speaking.

"You must be the leader of the Revolutionary Army, Dragon."

Then, his eyes narrowed at the mark on Dragon's face.

"What's with that scar?" Jack asked. "Did your old man smack you with a sandal when you were a kid?"

"Half a footprint? What's that supposed to be?"

"….."

"Jack!"

Taking a deep breath, Dragon forcefully suppressed his irritation and shouted,

"Where is Betty?! Is she alive?"

Jack grinned. "Oh, she's alive. She's got a nice figure, too. We've got a lot of orphans on Onigashima—thought about taking her back to be their nanny. Let the kids experience some motherly love, y'know?"

"…You bastard!!"

Even Karasu, who rarely lost his composure, clenched his fists. But before he could make a move, Dragon grabbed his arm and looked Jack straight in the eye.

"I have a proposal."

"If you hand over Betty, we'll withdraw immediately."

Jack blinked. "…Huh?"

He stared at Dragon as if looking at a complete idiot. Then, shaking his head, he turned to his subordinates.

"I'll lure him away," Dragon instructed. "You guys focus on rescuing Betty."

"When I take him down, we'll proceed as planned!"

"Heat Breath!"

With a deafening roar, a pillar of crimson flames shot toward Dragon.

Jack's eyes widened in shock as Dragon raised a hand—then crushed the fire with his bare palm.

For a split second, Jack saw a familiar figure flash through his mind.

Garp…?

Before he could dwell on it, several wind blades slashed toward him. Dragon soared into the sky, and Jack instantly recognized his intent.

"Trying to lead me away, huh?"

Not concerned in the slightest, Jack transformed into his beast form and lunged into the air, chasing after Dragon.

The battle raged as they exchanged attacks midair, testing each other's strength.

Jack soon realized something strange—Dragon wasn't just unaffected by his lightning, he could also summon storm clouds to unleash even stronger thunderbolts of his own. His wind blades, too, packed enough force to shake Jack's massive frame.

For the first time, Jack found himself unable to tell what kind of Devil Fruit power Dragon possessed.

It wasn't until they had flown for a while that Dragon finally descended to the ground.

Jack, sensing no reason for hesitation, followed suit.

Using the momentum from his descent, Jack shifted into his hybrid form and swung his massive ivory tusk downward.

 BOOM!

As their Haki clashed, the sky itself trembled. The impact sent shockwaves across the battlefield, scattering the storm clouds above them.

Despite being slammed into the ground, Dragon had successfully blocked the attack.

Jack took a step back, cracking his neck. "Not bad. Your Haki's pretty strong."

"But that wasn't just Haki, was it?"

Dragon said nothing. Instead, he tossed aside his tattered green cloak, took a stance, and smirked.

"Your Haki isn't bad either," he admitted. "As for earlier…"

"You're welcome to try again."

Jack didn't waste words.

Opening his mouth, he unleashed a torrent of flames.

Dragon swung his hands—splitting the fire apart.

Jack charged forward, clashing with Dragon in another brutal exchange.

But as their battle raged on, Jack couldn't shake a lingering suspicion.

Despite the immense power Dragon displayed, he had yet to show any traits of a Zoan-type.

Jack replayed the fight in his mind—then grinned.

"That last attack," he mused, running a hand through his windblown hair.

"You phased through it, didn't you?"

"You're a Logia user, aren't you?"

"Storms…"

"The lightning—it's just the wind gathering clouds…"

Above them, the sky suddenly darkened.

Rain poured down in torrents, the wind howling through the battlefield.

Jack narrowed his eyes at Dragon's silent figure.

A smirk formed on his lips.

"So, it's not just the wind, huh?"

"I never would've guessed… A storm could be a Logia-type."

"You've got yourself one hell of a Devil Fruit."

A powerful gust surged forward.

Dragon met Jack's gaze and finally spoke.

"You know too much."

BOOM!
